Kid share plays Destiny to stranger...

Perhaps it is Sony may act considering he is using the PS4 feature to troll players. Saying that the kid was trying to cheat and we all know cheaters never win;)

I wonder if the kid's age has got anything to do with Bungie's lack of support. He shouldn't be playing the game due to the rating, and Bungie's support might be seen as some as condoning the breaking of age rated games.
Ratings are nothing but parental suggestions.

That's a good lesson learned.
It's still pretty brave he (or his mom?) uploaded this to let people know about the actual risks of sharing your game with a stranger. The kid is inherently annoying due to his age, squeaky voice and lack of intonation (considering he is a 'streamer') and that makes it easy to dislike him, however the guy that deleted his stuff is still a dick and I don't agree with people praising him.

Can't bungie restore the characters?

Most mmo devs will restore deleted characters if you ask.

But an 11 year old shouldn't be playing destiny anyways, and its just a video game character boo hop.

No sympathy from me. Yes it was an asshole-ish thing to do but the kid has to learn that if you're going to cheat your way through something there are potential consequences.

At the very least he hopefully learned a lesson through a safe environment.
Agreed 100% The easy road isn't always so easy kiddo. Lesson learned. (Hopefully)

Meanwhile 70% of the games population cheats
People that hate destiny, praise borderlands, where 85% of people depend on duped legendary weapons and armor so they can play in God mode and lessen the experience.

Anyone who has ever boosted in COD... C'mon it's just a damn kid

That karmic guy is just another example of what's wrong with the gamers

Lesson learned but still..

I "stole" my 8 years old bike one day because she kept living it near the stars without the lock on it. I let her think that thing was stolen for like a week before I let her in on it. She hasn't done it since. I am a monster.

That isn't remotely the same thing lol

if I could give the kid my retired level 30 character I would. The game is rated but its the parents decision on wether or not he is allowed to play or not.

As shitty as it is, that is factually correct. By no means saying his death was justified, but cause and effect is very real.

Dafuq!?

It isn't. The officer that killed Brown did a "random" stop and search on Brown before he killed him. He didn't know Brown had done anything prior to the killing

Getting from level 23 to 31 is extremely trivial. At best, it is saving grind time. There is no glitch that makes the game suddenly make you 31. People exploit the game's limited AI, geometry, broken mechanics, glitches, etc constantly to easily get some of the hardest to earn rewards in the game. Every Destiny player and their mother has exploited Crota at least a dozen times. Nobody in Destiny has gear that was earned "the way it was meant to be played."
Speak for yourself guy
How do you 'exploit' Crota? I never rolled with people who pulled the cord. People on GAF know how to carry a sword

What if the parent buys the game and gives there child the consent to play it? Most little kids aren't buying the games anyways its the parents right?

Well, it is illegal to buy other age restricted products and give them to kids.

At the end of the day good parenting determines it is inappropriate to give children unsuitable games.

Harsh. I'd be pissed at my friend if I was this guy. He can run round and pick it all up again, but most of the fun in MMO style games is running the raids etc. I guess like a month or two (with his asshat friend helping him out every session) and he should get back to where he was.

I remember similar in world of warcraft where you'd get offered to buy an epic item for a reasonable amount of gold. Usually at least 25% discount from AH. You'd be so keen and you'd open a trade window and wouldn't really pay attention and end up with the wrong item (as it was swapped out at the last minute) or people would try switching g for s etc. It's just naivety. In this case it was particularly harsh, and yeah that Kermit should be banned but what's the point, it's probably not even his primary PSN account.

You have to be a colossal prick to do this to someone. I just can't understand people who do shit like this, hell even trolling, I know people get fun out of it but that's what I can't understand. How the hell does someone being miserable make you happy? It's psychotic.

The point you keep missing is that exploits/cheats/whatever are inherently wrong, regardless of whether the playerbase thinks they are acceptable or not.

Using some exploit to get to max level in a loot grind game is nothing. It's the equivalent of powerleveling.

Oh goodness me

The former griefer in me is making me laugh uncontrollably. This is so good that I feel it's staged. Got control and the bastard immediately went to work ahahaha

It isn't staged. It was documented on the previous page that this Kermit prick has done the exact same before.

there is a difference between alcohol and smokes though compared to games right? So whoever lets there child play destiny is a bad parent? you are treading down a steep and narrow path if you truly believe that.

Dang, you're right

And his name is kermit the frog ahahahahaahah that's so fucked up

It's people like me who end up encouraging this behavior because I find it so funny sometimes :(

To be true... he make a favor to the kid so he finally can move on to other and better games, actually.

kermit the frog, destiny's desintoxicator.

Ugh... It's true that "lesson learned" from this, however anybody laughing at this is sick in the head. Sorry to say, but that's just the way it is from my perspectiv.

From what I can understand he must've spent hours upon hours doing mindless grinding and now his enjoyment from the game have probably been ruined and for what? Because some dick decided to have fun.

Now I realize that this is just a game, but actually laughing because a kid is crying is so messed up.

Am I the only one that had no idea there was a glitch to level up from 23 to 31? and I play Destiny every day since the release...

On topic: poor kid, but some people just like to troll hard I guess...

I think it's funny and I'm not sick in the head. I think.

I have genuine sympathy for the kid and there's just no excuse for the Kermit guy to make such a dick move.

Hopefully this instills a bit of common sense into the kid. An Important life lesson for him - always remember, people are inherently evil.

The worrying thing for me is that an 11 year old was playing a T for teen game (which we've all done TBH) but was also broadcasting it online and talking to complete strangers unsupervised. I think the parents need their heads knocking together if they're unaware of what their 11 year old is up to.

I'm just... stunned this topic turned into this. It should've been a simple "Kid attempted to cheat and through a stranger no less and got screwed over, lesson learned." But instead it was all "That poor kid! The guy should be banned and the kids characters should be restored! Anyone who thinks this kid was in the wrong is a sociopath!"

Really. Really?

I just looked up KirmitTHEfrog on PSN. He is level 33 with 7,649 trophies, 126 platinums.

I hope Sony bans that motherfucker based on these 2 documented incidents.

I'll send him a friend request so he can level me up
down
on Destiny too

I'm sure the asshole who did this was doing it for the sake of justice and karma, guys.

I can't believe people are defending an asshole who did somethong cowardly and then proceed to use the word karma while saying an 11-year old kid "deserved it" in the same sentence.

Yep. Bunch of fucked up, misguided people.

If I laugh at this but cry every time at the intro of Up, does that make me a sociopath or not ? (didn't watched the video as I don't enjoy children crying though but the story is funny)

hehe made me remember when I was 15 and accidentally deleted my save from Rayman 3 just one week prior to the end of the world tournament, I was 3rd (seriously why was delete so close to load !). Boy did I felt dumb and devastated. Finished 4th in the end as I had to redo every levels :(.

just checked his profile out as well, true gamer foreal. Those evil helghast eyes just stare threw your soul. I dare somebody to friend this guy lol.

Why? Every time you share play with someone you are giving explicit permission to use your game and any of the functions in it.

Yes. Really.

I don't give a fuck if an 11 yo boy tried to cheat... what has it got to do with me?

But... I care about nastyness and bullying on the web and in the video game culture.

Ever heard of something called "empathy"?

I can't even believe some guys here can glorify being a total dick.

Tough guys obviously.

not sure what the big difference between 'cheating' and 'have your friend help you past that tricky boss' which is one of the ways Sony was pitching this feature. Both involve someone else doing things in the game for your benefit?

Can't say I feel bad for the kid. For starters, a 11 years old kid shouldn't even be playing Destiny. Second, cheating is bad. Hope he learned his lesson.

Who the hell are you? Who the hell are you to assume I'm being a total dick or a tough guy?

The kid did something stupid for a stupid reason and it backfired on him and he learned his lesson. That's all this is. If you want to make it out to be something more than that, then that's on you. Don't you dare try to make other people out as something they're not cause they don't.

I was bullied my whole fucking life to the point of dropping out of school, making my future more difficult, and wanting to kill myself for years. Don't you dare think I support or don't care about a kid being bullied. This was never about bullying.

Is what the guy did fucked up? Yes. Are people who find this kids misfortune funny fucked up? Yes. Did this kid do something stupid and learned a lesson and he is at fault too? Yes.
