Count me in. Really looking forward to this & Space Dandy. Now to hope the music will be up to par like in TTGL and P&S.

I hope Aniplex of America uploads it to their account soon enough because they were hyping it on Twitter.

Oh yeah, that's right... they were even translating directly 'tweets' from the official KILL la KILL account (which is nice of them) so it would be cool if they could mirror like that some further content, including those videos!

Doesn't read OPs, especially not his own
im so happy this is going to be 24-26 episodes, not many animes go past 13 episodes nowadays

Release date? Will this be available on Crunchyroll?

October (I don't think the date has been given).

"During its panel at Otakon, Aniplex USA has officially announced the rights to "Kill-la-Kill" after months of speculation. The first TV anime from former Gainax staff members Hiroyuki Imaishi and Masahiko Ohtsuka will be streamed and the home video release will also be handled by the US arm. More information on the home video release will be given at a later date."

Aniplex has Monogatari S2 and put it on Daisuki.net instead of Crunchy, so probably on Daisuki again? Monogatari is a simulcast, so I'd hope Kill La Kill would be as well.

(This info might be outdated, but I can't find anything newer)

Edit: Oh no.... I just realized what I wrote...

Aniplex...has the rights. I'll never own this on Blu-Ray even if it's freaking amazing.

Never fear, we'll probably get cheap blurays of it in the UK which you can reverse import and play on a region free bluray player! :D

Japan just couldn't resist the paedo bait.

They just couldn't stop themselves.

For shame.

Will still watch at least the first episode.

Why does nearly every single anime these days fall into a creepy otaku fan-service hole? They could actually find a much wider audience overseas if they left that shit out, but are instead doubling down on it, making most people embarrassed to even watch it.

Come on people, you're acting like this isn't from the director who brought you Yoko and Nia (who is actually far creepier), or, duh, Panty and Stocking.

Almost everyone who lives overseas and is interested enough to seek out anime just downloads it. Trying to reach out to people outside of the established international anime market is a big financial risk. How many people in the world are interested in watching "it's not just for kids!" Japanese cartoons, really?
It's far easier to just pander to the people who they know are going to spend money, and in general the creepier an otaku is, the more they spend on merch.

You know, it's really a shame about the battle suit design, because this actually looks really awesome, especially when you imagine it in animated form:

It WILL be anime of the year most likely. The team behind this has yet to make anything remotely shitty. So you'll have to excuse me if a character showing some skin doesn't manage to quell my hype for it.

Imaishi has worked on plenty of terrible things.
