Didn't know that this had a thread. Anyway, not a fan of her assumed combat mode costume. But than again, I was never a fan if Yoko's design yet still love TTGL. Still looking forward to it.

Currently TBC, but considering Aniplex has the rights, it's probably going to be simulcasted on Crunchyroll or Daisuki. I'm leaning towards the latter, tbh, considering the amount of hype this is generating, and Daisuki needs some kind of notable (timed) exclusive regularly to gain relevance. Or alternatively we'll have another Attack on Titan situation whereby everyone is simulcasting it.

Even though is true Mr. Imaishi has a drill for heart, I think the 'motif' are plain spikes this time... specially evident seeing the riveted costume design of characters like Sanageyama (and I'll add that the illustration by Mr. Handa of this very same character from the recent fan-book shows precisely the type of service 'parity' some people need a reminder of before preliminary judging all the package, all this series as a whole just having seen one mere battle uniform transformation on these, more recent, scans).

They had one of these on the GSC booth at AX. As I stood in a line that felt like it was never going to end, I badly wanted to just take it.

Missed an UNIQUE opportunity, man!

At least it was possible to obtain (in a more "respectable" manner) Little Witch Academia exclusive posters at that same event, although you had to go 'cosplaying' as one of the witches... not that respectable after all if you are a guy. :-D

In hindsight I probably should've done it! I dropped like $200 at their booth, it was the least they could do. I bought the really nice LWA scroll they had for sale, though I didn't realize until after they rang me up it was $35. Yowch.

The more I look at this particular image, the more I'm starting to actually really appreciate this design. I think I can safely say I really like it.

I can't wait to see it in action. The action angles ought to look incredibly awesome.

Also Ryuko is hot when she's frowning.

Well, in 7Th's defence I will say that this was more about a specific resemblance of the usual apparatus schematic on only one certain skewed shot, such rift shape which ended up being a representation of the academy's symbol/emblem in the end. Not that farfetched for an abstract and humorous comparison made in the spur of the moment, no? :-D

I'm so worried about this show. I've avoided a lot of the talk and the few teasers they've released because I don't want to set any wild expectations.

TTGL is no doubt one of the all-time greats and perhaps the GOAT, so I feel I can expect something unique with Kill, but man, there is dread all over me. The character designs are ace though. I just wish I had an idea of what exactly this show is going to be.

God Uniform: Senketsu
-When Ryuuko's body and mind is pushed to its limits and her blood burns hotter than fire itself, the true power of the living uniform is awakened. Ryuuko and Senketsu's bodies become one and inmesurable power starts flowing through their veins. With the God Cloth Senketsu, Ryuuko is able to change reality and alter the destiny of the world.

-Even if the appearance of the God Cloth Senketsu is embarassing, its power is unmatched. Ryuuko can't control the power by herself so Senketsu acts as her precision support.

God Uniforms: God-like powers (Satsuki, she lives in the highest tower of the city)
Three Star Uniforms: Reality bending powers (The Four Devas; they live in the tower of the student council, they have absolute freedom to do whatever they want as long as they don't go against Satsuki's ideals)
Two Star Uniforms: Super powers (they work directly under the three star uniforms in accordance to their skills and personalities, they live in the dormitories)
One Star Uniform: Augmented abilities (the "stormtroopers", they're student council members, they live in the training headquarters)
No Star Uniforms: No powers (Mako, the other loser kids without "talents" according to Satsuki, they live in the shitty slums and are basically the "prey" for the stronger students)

Ryuuko only needs the God Uniform Super form to fight Satsuki and the Four Kings.

The ED theme is called "Sorry, I'm not going to be a Good Girl".

Stupidity is always part of the theme in Imaishi's anime; textually in both Gurren-Lagann and Panty & Stocking. Not to mention the narrative is always "flawed chaotic heroes reaching for diversity vs righteous orderly villains reaching for perfection".
