ok guys question:
i have been watching anime for years but...does anyone else have trouble keeping up with character names? in particular japanese phonetics? if i spend more than a day or two without watching an anime and someone mentions a non-MC i have to have a second tab open with names and pictures.

Not really, unless they've picked incredibly similar names for two characters.
For instance, this episode had Mako and then... Ma....something.....

There's surprisingly little Guts fanart. If you're looking for Ramba Ral wearing Senketsu, I've got that, but Guts? Mmm...

Feel like I'm missing out on a lot of stuff while reading subs. Strongly considering dropping this until it gets dubbed.
If you watch it now think about how many things you won't miss when it gets dubbed. You'll be enjoying at least 50% more content.

yeah I really felt those PSG aswell, ive only seen 1 or 2 episodes of inferno cop but I got alot of vibes of it in this episode aswell.
Ever since the first epsiode Ryuko has had some pretty Panty-esque facial expressions.

That was surprisingly awesome.
I knew Maiko was a spy of some sort, but I was surprised she was just a No-Star who wanted to overthrow Satsuki for her own desires. Welp, at least she's gone. But she was hilarious.
Its forbidden for people reminded to that or what?
Its just mean Abenobashi are very memorable and great then.

Episode #4 was hilariously funny!! I had to laugh out loud several times.
Funniest episode yet. I was trying hard to not wake up my flatmate with laughter this morning!
