Yes, it's so hypocritical when entirely different people express entirely different opinions.
I just love the passion.

Tongue-in-cheek =/= juvenile. That would be a vast improvement over making it look like a 12-year-old's idea of cool because it's "edgy" and "dark & gritty".
It's a child's idea of mature.
A lot of the humor in the originals was in the finishing moves, and this game doesn't have any. But a ninja fighting a werewolf is probably already campy enough.Taking itself seriously is the mistake. The originals did not, this one does.
Arcade release not on that list`
The best way I can think to put it is to look at the Fast & Furious series. In the beginning, they were terrible and could only be enjoyed ironically because they were so dumb and took themselves so seriously. Now they're great and everyone loves them because they're in on the joke.
All I want to see right now is the demo running on actual consoles instead of above spec PC's. Those particle effects were gorgeous, but I am really worried that they had those demos running on PC's with high specs than the console it was developed for.
The Xbox One hardware is visibly active, almost certainly pushing out 1080p at 60 frames per second.

I'd love to see this game in arcades, but how many people even have arcades close to them? Outside of Japan, it's not really worth it to do an arcade release.
I've met too many people who still take these movies seriously.
That guy just used the killer instinct font available online and then colored it..

No fatalities? Why?
Because reasons.No fatalities? Why?
Because the developer has limited resources and would rather work on meaningful parts of the game.

I think they'll give tourney players the option to scale things down. Doesn't mean that they're going to start cutting features or eye candy. Working with the upper echelon of the FGC is a good insurance policy. If a fighting game is shallow or prone to exploits it's not going to be fun online for anybody. Not in the long term, at least. Is anyone else considered about them trying to meet the fighting community's demands? Don't get me wrong there are definitely great things that can come out of it, but overall I feel that the tournament type players don't represent what most people want in a fighting game. The sparks are big and flashy and the tournament players want them out, yet they would be a lot of fun to look at. The stages aren't going to have much going on in the background so the fighting community can play their pro matches on any stage, why not make things lively?
The fighting community itself isn't going to make this game successful, I hope Double Helix isn't only trying to please this one group. The average person in Walmart trying to get a fun game would rather see something big that stands out, and would care less about hit boxes If Smash Bros Melee was designed for tournament players there would be no items, no flashy/unique stages, and no bonus modes. I just hope that they can balance out making a unique, accessible, fun, and cool looking while also appealing to fighting game fans.
Never played much of KI. What is the first set of phrases on the list referring to?
Only equaled by the desire for Stage Finishers. Seems legit. They're not KI terms, those are just a collection of the general sentiments of the fan base. Basically, they're saying "We understand that you want us to get this right!!"
So I'm down on the news. Is this still F2P and nickel and dime for each character? Or will there be a full edition you can buy?
Apparently, there will be a season pass that gives you access to everything.
Have they said anything about additional characters other than Glacius at EVO?
The one they reveal at evo will probably be one of the other 3 confirmed characters, right? (Fulgore, Cinder, or Spinal.)
Of those I hope they show Fulgore. Curious to see his updated style.

Because reasons.
Has there been any indication that this might make it to PC?
The team making KI has been arranged for the project specifically, apparently some of the guys worked on various SF2 revisions and Skullgirls.Question for you guys.
Are Double Helix the guys who worked on the Silent Hill HD collection? Lol
