Ok, so all this time I've defended the game and absolutely enjoyed it, but this one particular level is just….awful. As in, some of the worst designed stuff I've ever played in a shooter. Maybe I'm just being stupid, but up until this point I've actually found the game pretty manageable, maybe even easy, but this level, even on Normal difficulty is just….how…
It's the end type segment where wave after wave of enemy come after you. We're talking dozens of chain gun guys, shield enemies, ATATs, everything. Like out of no where an army just decided to show up. I have some sort of spark blast rocket launcher, but even that isn't enough. I'll kill every living thing alive, but as soon as their drop ship comes, all my men etc die, I follow shortly after.
There is literally no way one man can take on 20+ guys in a tiny area with this kind of enemy AI, along with 3-4 ATAT hovering above you. Just seems impossible, despite my best efforts.
Anyone have any advice?
Such a damn shame this is one of the end levels, and worse still even in the game at all. Guerrilla Games should know, ending a game on such a terrible note really leaves a sour taste in gamers mouths. You never end on such a bad note. Else people who have otherwise loved it, very quickly change their tune. I still feel this is a competent shooter with some great ideas and gameplay, but this one level…
