Kingdome Come 2 is not only very good, it runs fine, has not as many bugs as most of modern games and even has NO f-ing SHADER COMPILATION every time you turn it on.

And it costed only 40 millions to make.

All other developers shoud dissect KKD2 and learn how to create games from it!
Yikes.Other developers make buggy unplayable woke messes with a budget of 100-200 million dollars, and the developers of KKD2 spent 1/8 of Spider-Man's 2's budget on one of the best games ever released.

While I agree with your overall points, KCD2 would cost 100+mil if developed in the US

Posting late game screenshots for some lame "gotchas" in a thread about something else entirely? Get fucked.
I was hoping someone would be able to explain how those instances are not indicative of the larger game. But really all I got was "those instances are not a problem". Plus, I don't shit in OPs of games I don't own. CCU numbers seems like a decent place to debate why they are not higher or lower. I'm an HRE hobbyist/nerd, so this game is had the potential to be one of my goats. Maybe someone will still come along and assuage my concerns that the subject matter wasn't handled by people like me. Hard to believe the people making creative decisions on this game have any reverence for what the HRE did for humanity based on what I've seen from it.

If the pro-Christian stuff outweighs the historically misread slop I posted above, I could be swayed. Hard to do without a single church interior. One of my favorite things of what I played in part 1 was just checking out the churches. There was so much little detail, I really never expected it to be completely absent from the sequel. I'd love to play a big, well-funded RPG set in the HRE. It's an absolute dream project for me. I thought the stars were aligned for this to be it.

Anyone know of good scenes dunking on non-Christians? If they treat all the different religious with the same cavalier dereliction, it would be a little easier to deal with. From what I've seen only Christianity is given the grey area treatment. Others being "these people were just going about their day until these marauding Christians messed things up." There are plenty of shots you could fire about Ottoman culture. Eastern euro devs still think they have to pander apparently. Things haven't spiraled as far into shit in those countries, so I don't think their dread alarms are blaring as loudly as ours.

At least the gay sex had some basis in realistic history.

Game isn’t for you dude. No one here is gonna cherry pick dialogue bashing another religion so your fee-fees feel better.

Move on.

no one gives a shit whether you are swayed lol, you folks proved (again) to be a wet-fart when trying to rally against an actual good game.
lick your wounds and go regroup for avowed's launch or something

What do you mean specifically? It takes place in Bohemia in the 15th century in the Holy Roman Empire, so yes, Christianity is very strong and present here.
Yep, that’s outright puzzling. Hell, the whole thing is set as basically prelude to Hussite wars which is a big reason the King lost his HRE throne in actual history.

So there is going to be some tension against Catholic Church, but pretty much everyone would be deeply religious by today’s standards. Not having Church and religion involvement in HRE Bohemia in early 15th century would be weird as hell.

Edit: Again, this is Bohemia right before Hussite wars. There was a lot of tension against Catholic Church. And King Wenceslaus had a major confrontation with the Church from what I remember, killing some clergy members.

Edit: Also, Cumans are generally bad guys and they are mostly non Christians.

Not saying its good or bad, but yeah it is what it is baby.

Well I'm basically asking if that Bohemian ever gets his due. I don't want to give them my 50 hours if this guy gets to smugly shit on my people and ride off into the sunset. I'd rather just play F Zero.

I'd love a citation for this.

White people don't season their food! How original. Totally just coincidence though, not pandering.

Who cares if a single fictional character in a videogame don't find the medieval European culture superior. What you posted is no more or less coincidental than anything else said in the game. It seems that you engage in some kind of pattern recognition and fuse it with preconceived notions in your mind. By all means go play F-zero and leave KCD2 to those of us with sea legs.

And for the record, I'm no leftie, but for that time, what was said, I think I'd agree, it's not that big of a deal to admit that medieval Europe was a shithole in some regards. AFAIK, while Europe had limited scientific knowledge and the plague killed one third of the population, there was a golden age going on in several other places of the world.

Art imitates life.

First time I've ever woke up with a hangover and been more worried what i did in a game than what posted on GAF.

Turns out luckily i was still in the boozer and needed some kip.

It sucks that there is no PSNDB and XboxDB that would be as transparent as Steam is.

256K is great, overtaking Space Marine, which afaik sold 4 million in couple months? And overtaking Dragon's Dogma 2 by this little company known as Capcom?
KCD2 will ensure Warhorse's future for a long time.
