Ah ok. Guess we'll find out soon.1.5 was first announced in September 2012. Here's a Joystiq article from September 19, 2012: http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/19/kingdom-hearts-1-5-hd-remix-announced-for-ps3-features-remaster/
So it was announced just before TGS, just under a year ago.
There's no guarantee that the same will happen with 2.5, but it's pretty likely.
I honestly wouldn't doubt this being the reason for the namechange.Okay, guys.
My hypothesis:
"Unversed" was originally "unbirth" - in fitting with the Birth By Sleep title - until someone at Square-Enix realized that the English version of that word is also the name of a hideous animated-porn/furry fetish and that kids would google it and find a bunch of hideous shit.
Discuss.
I'm expecting a March/April release for 2.5 as that's what in the past few years (for the mostpart anyway) they tend to release on unless development of it started later pushing it to later in the year.I'm expecting a TGS announcement and a Spring release for Japan like 1.5. In keeping up with one KH a year it should be announced soon for a release next year, and I don't expect it'll take so much work that it'll come out Summer or Fall in Japan.
It's Square-Enix so I've learned to expect this with them. I would hope that 2.5 takes less to localize given the new voicework and translations required is significantly lower compared to 1.5 though.I would actaully like the gap between releases to be simultaneous or at least closer. It's 2013. Why does the rest of the world have to wait when every other game company is keeping the gap between their releases between mere weeks and even on the same day. Pokemon is now adapting this trend. Why isn't Square? Especially since they want that AAA title status.
I expect 2.5 release to be a little more closer in release gaps. Inexcusable a 10 year old game already mostly translated took 6 months to release elsewhere.
