Completely anecdotal but I've never seen as many people simultaneously playing the same game on my friend list as I've seen playing Rising. My GS also had a ton of preorders so I think it did pretty well.Brilliant news for Rising. I wonder how well it's done in the US.

Like a BOSS.
Kojima has been asking for a sequel since September. It's totally happening. Build it from the ground up for next gen on Fox Engine and let me cut goddamn everything.Don't worry, Kojima and Konami will totally make a damn sequel.
How long did it take Platinum to make the game? I heard it was a ridiculously short amount of time.
dayamThey started around mid/late-2011. The game came out Feb 2013. So 18-20 months at most.

I hope the team also sees how much fans love the game. Sales are one thing but the near unanimous praise from players must feel great.

DMC3 did 194k in its first week. I can't find DMC or DMC2's numbers.
If we're using the 335k Famitsu numbers to compare:
DMC1 - 352,668
DMC2 - 309,279
DMC3 - 183,208
DMC4 - 212,373 + 40,169
Bayonetta - 138,430 + 66,211
What happened to those that kept saying that due to economic conditions HnS games were in decline?
