This is a real time space strategy game. The graphics aren't much. The genre-breaking heavy strategy is quite complex though, it has a bit of a learning curve, quite a bit. It is still regularly updated and still has expansions being made for it. The base game and DLC are worth the price, imo. Just know what you are buying into...

I was a big fan of the first NS, but i couldn't run NS2 at 60fps constant.

You need a decent cpu yes
quad core phenom II or any decent intel cpu.

It won't run well on a core2 duo it's quite a cpu intensive game.
If you can run starcraft 2 at 60 fps you can run ns2 at 60 fps.

Yeah once you get a grasp over how to control it it's pretty nice. I transplanted the heart and fixed up Heavy but have yet to figure out how to get to kidneys.

How to do a double kidney transplant:

Ignore the ribs. The small and large intestines both have areas you need to slice that are slightly discoloured versus the rest. You should be able to see two of these very easily (bottom right, bottom left). The middle left incision point is just above the bottom left--it's a horizontal bridge where the large intestine connects to the small intestine. When you've done these three, remove the large intestine. The fourth area is where the small intestine connects to the stomach. Then disconnect the stomach from the esophagus. With these removed you're down to the kidneys. Use a scalpel or the knife with the kidney shaped handle for the entire process. If one or both of the kidneys have been detached but you can't remove them, try using the spoon on the right hand side.

Absolutely. It's a bunch of still image panoramas and not fully 3D but it is an extremely excellent point and click adventure title as well as one of the more effective suspense/horror titles available on the platform.
