overall yea pretty whiny on both sides

also it's kinda funny that the 50% off mystery skins was pretty scary for rito cos it meant u could buy mystery skins with the 400 free rp from new accounts lol

i think the idea is to make her e less extreme and maybe remove some design dirt around it that created some weird decisionmaking

idk, illaoi feels like such a strange design

Once I eventually get over the Shen buzz I want to try make Illaoi work. I heard some of the design folks saying Black Cleaver and stuff is a trap build, should go Ghostblade and a bunch of high damage stuff.

But yeah, she's not in a good spot. I really love her design and I think there's a cool kit in there, it's just not working in its current form.

As someone who has only played her maybe twice, I think an assassin build is pretty fun for her. Her abilities have nice ratios, especially the Q. That thing hits like a truck.

Making Illaoi focus on her E vessel ignoring the enemy and her passive putting the tentacles in "inaccesibles" areas is a weird mechanic I guess.

Idk she already seems pretty squishy even on tanky builds and she still has the problem of her kit just being not very good. Her stuff is just too easy to dodge. If you could reliably land abilities maybe it could work.

When I read her design and lore and stuff I loved her right away but the gameplay is severely lacking. She has no place in league of mobility as it is.

She should have more control over her passive tentacles imo, make them swing with Q or whatever and they definitely need to swing faster.

That's a classic terror moment in F2P world. Honestly it's pretty bad that Riot ever gave 400 RP for free that early, because it puts a hard cap on anything giftable ever being 400 RP or less (as Riot LatAm apparently just figured out). It is not at all surprising to me that they're going to change that.

I think they could probably just figure out the sale percentage that puts mystery skins at exactly 401 RP and run that sale.

Illaoi probably isn't good, but boy she feels oppressive to play against if someone does poorly.

The weirdest thing to me is the enormous spirit debuff time. If you get that when you're low health, you're presumably too low slow to dodge tentacles and then kill them, and too low health to tank them and then kill them. So instead you get this like 40-second nightmare where you slowly walk back to base, possibly escorted by a teammate. There's not much in the game like it.

Her Q doesn't have to do a billion damage. Just lower the damage and make the cast time fast enough so you can actually land the thing against a lane opponent who is awake and looking at the screen.

Wouldn't fix her but it would at least make her an acceptable lane bully

they're considering doing a 2x1 in mystery chests instead

it sort of accomplishes the same thing (tho not really) and saves them the trouble of dealing with ppl spamming new accounts for free mystery gifts

Yummy ghostblade on illaoi sounds odd mainly because the active is wasted on her due to her low atk spd ratios

First two Kindred games have been complete disasters, so I got that going for me. I'm sure looking at those replays will give me an aneurysm at how badly I did. Ah well.

It's tough to use because a lot of the time it's better to just hang onto it if you're winning the fight rather than use it to save one person. You'll get a feel for it eventually. If you're fighting from range it's actually often not to hard to ult someone behind your real target and keep their back line outside of your ult.

Kindred took me forever to use reliably but they're one of my better champs now.

I dunno why it took that long considering I got plat 2 on provision and I got to Diamond 5 from Silver 2 in less than 80 games last season. (edit: just checked my photos. It's actually 145 games to D5.)

I'm guessing it's because Riven is not that good of a champ anymore compared to last season. I find myself using Renek and Irelia more a few patches back and just used her sparingly until now when I changed my overall build for her.

I had read that Illaoi is the relic of a champion Rito wanted to put out years back called Seth .. if you know is the inspiration for Azir. Seth's kit was a combination of what Azir and Illaoi somewhat. So, in a way, Illaoi has been out since way back when lol. She does need changes though..

It would take away what makes her unique somewhat, and weaken her "fantasy" as a mythical God conduit or whatever, but what if her E worked like Thresh Q instead of having the trials debuff. It would mean it would harder to run away from her Ult. I think she's fun as is, but I don't have HOURS of gameplay with her. Maybe she does need some changes but she's only just came out.

This is such a specific question. Probably wouldn't bother since I'd be gushy and embarrass myself at a date anyway. I'm not sure who my most hated champ is either. Possibly Yasuo.

Yea, somehow she rose to my third most played champ so I can say she's sorta useless. Rather, she punishes players who misstep really hard. I don't think she needs like a complete makeover since her lore and what she is is awesome. She needs like, more quality of life changes, something. Maybe make the q land faster, allow the tentacles to smash faster or smash in conjunction with another spell.

Make her tankier(?), I feel like late game she's still squishy. I don't know about the black cleaver rush since I usually rush Icebourne Gauntlet with Frozen Mallet along with the suppressor mastery and that's likely all the damage needed. Anyone with mobility really, really, really messes with her. I play her like my top dawg Nasus of sorts, which is.. lock down top lane until I get the first two turrents then group or go bot and do the same.

She also feels really useless when she roams since she depends so heavily on those tentacles, I think that mechanic needs a change, the way how her tentacles spawn. I don't know if making it a ammo system would help but it can help somewhat I guess.

Illa-whatever is pretty annoying though. Her soul pull skill is literally endless if you keep getting pulled since its cooldown is much lower than the duration. Happened to me earlier. She's also unstoppable unless you send half of your team to her if she gets a decent lead. Her only weakness is that she is pretty immobile.

1. Illaoiaoiaoiaoiaoiaoiaoiaoiaoiaoioi is useless. She's like the Blitzcrank of top lane, plus lots of unreliable damage and minus the utility of Blitz. She relies more on opponent misplays than the player doing well.
