Actual tournaments like MLG, Dreamhack, and whatnot. Also, the meta will start to properly develop during these events. Not to mention glaring balance issues will be addressed in quicker fashion due to teams exploiting them.
I'm pumped too. It'll be fun watching an actual league with pros and not just one off tournies. Go riot. Awesome stuff.
On a side note, tried out my new talon skin. Makes me happy. I never saw myself as a cosmetic purchaser but some of these skins are just so good. I can't help myself.

I'm already about $140 into the game. I haven't spent this much on a single game since the old MMO days.
edit: and even though I don't play her, I've decided to buy Morgana's skin. It's just that good. Guess I'm learning a new mid/support. She should be pretty decent against the AD champ trend with the black shield at least.

I'm trying to fit Zephyr into some bruiser builds, but I'm so attached to Merc Treads. MR + Tenacity is just a good combo. I wound up with Tabi-Zephyr-Gauntlet-Wit-Warmog on Irelia.

I'm trying to fit Zephyr into some bruiser builds, but I'm so attached to Merc Treads.
The fact that it gives ASPD primarily makes it a weird choice for a lot of bruisers. Irelia does make amazing use of it though and there's been a lot of Zephyr-Warmog cores for her.
It's also a kind of interesting 7th item (that is, replacing boots) for ADCs.
I'm 8 games into my placement matches now. Maybe I'll join you as well when I get a rating.
The few (~25) ranked games I did last season were exactly like normal draft games. Same attitudes, just a little more raging if a troll popped up. However, once I made it out of the placement matches and I started playing with guys that have been in the 1200-1300 elo for hundreds of games, I started to get the feeling from a few of them like I do at the low blind poker cash games at the casino. There were some resigned, semi-depressed players that were so used to failure that even the rare moment of success wasn't enough to bring them up. It was the type of guy that calls every trash hand thinking this time he was going to hit it big. They were done with any type of self discovery and growth and completely convinced that it was just the universe working against them, not their play.
It made me sad and I stopped playing ranked.

Last night I had a Rammus with a hard-on for Baron.
Win teamfight with 3 of us up at half HP, two that are tanks? Forget about the open inhib at mid it's BARON TIME.
Win teamfight with 4 of us up, and their last guy is at 10%? Forget the fact we have super minions on their nexus, it's BARON TIME.
Glad everyone else was smart enough not to listen to him and instead listen to me lol.

My glitterlance once stole a kill from my MF. She flipped and went down bot lane and feeded 3 times and then went on to roll the rest of the game with boots and 5 Doran's Blade. People playing this game is so fucking retarded sometimes (most of the time) that it is beyond comprehension. Like, it never seize to amaze me.
Man, catching up on some of the LCS qualifier games. Nerves really got to some people, I saw some really good players that have done well in the past make some really uncharacteristic mistakes. In particular, I felt DNG shoulda had a few of those games in the bag, they are a really solid team.
Diggining the Marn story though, formed just weeks ago and a qualified team. They have some heart.

People seem to forget that levels are worth 500+ gold in free stats, if not more.

I really respect them for playing jarvan and urgot, it's definitely fun watching their games as well.
Sounds like me on a bad day. How this end makes me smile I hate end game throws the most just win and get the inhib or nexus already.
I think I went Rumble mid yesterday with 2 wards and like 9 pots. It's kind of silly. Delete all consumable items besides wards!
