The buff to Maokai's R is amazing. Not fond of gutting the range on W, but I guess they wanted to give it counterplay so they put a slow to his E.
Zac W change sounds cool. It's a net buff that lets him more Ws during combo openings.

I'm afraid I may be starting to convert away from the Ryan Choi style with this patch. I tried a couple of Rengar games with only 1 doran's blade, then rushing vamp scepter (or possibly pickaxe if I have enough gold and am doing ok) and hydra, and I felt like it may be a better tradeoff now. Of course, that presumably means Rengar is overall weaker after the doran change but still maybe worth it.

Almost had a penta last night on ARAM Graves. Still can't believe we won that game, since they had a better ARAM team (Karma, Fidd, Xin, Mao, some other dude). I got fed though, so Akali managed to survive long enough to get some gold and be a threat.

I wonder if it is the problem that people don't itemize against a champ like that; build magic resist in the form of Banshee Veil or Spirit Visage in time. His kit in tandem with magic pen is a powerful combo i just feel he comes out the jungle and misses q then there goes his engage and only cc pre-6. His kit forces a heavy mana commitment to ganks in order to effective opens him up to counter jungling or getting picked off. His early game is rough.

Maokai's ult radius has been reduced. This is an undocumented change that no one seems to have captured so far. I don't see anything there that would make Maokai competitively viable.
Hasn't been true since the spiritstone passive hp/mana regen change. Hell, wasn't true before that, really. His clear speed is phenomenal and his sustain is up there with the top jungle picks - he's almost always full health and mana after getting spirit stone. He has the tools necessary to evade dueling specialists like Udyr and he can last long enough vs. high mobility strong duelists like Elise and Lee Sin to get to safety/setup a collapse.
His win rate isn't a function of the opposing team being idiots and not buying MR or whatever - it's a function of having an excellent kit.

Depending on whether you're laning or jungling and if you want assassin, burst or tank, of course. Mages like Cass are solid too. Lux isn't bad either, just not as good as other options.

This keeps happening to me too. Basically, I shit on lanes with someone (usually Jayce) and disrespect the fact that they have a jungler. Getting caught out over-extended. I think the trinket tends to lure me into a false sense of security. Not buying wards because I have the trinket. I have to remind myself to get regular wards.
Also, fuck invis junglers. So obnoxious.
It happens. It's 3 minutes, I'm playing blue team top lane and the enemy jungle is a Lee/Eve. I know they're going to gank me, but I can't help but overextend/fight/play aggro. It's a matter of discipline really.
tbh ever since i stopped buying so many wards i feel like i get to win lane more often so yea don't go overboard with them either
i'm pretty decent at dealing with eve after so many games but fuck i hate lee sin
i got first blood on nidalee as freaking kassadin at level 4 and just had her zoned at 6 but every time i tried to get the kill i got ganked
i need to learn to respect that
i'm so sad they never went through with the lee sin nerfs

The other woad skins are like that too (Darius/Ashe). Dunno why they turned Woad into a winters thing with the Darius and Quinn skins though. But I love it.

all overlays, in-game or in-client. so you cant have the overlay that tells you that other people have curse voice.
It's amazing. I'm almost sad that I barely play Draven, let alone adcs in general.

LCS proper starting now with Alliance vs SK.
Full marks for the loud cheer for the 'No homo' sign as Deficio tries to sum up, corpsing happens. It is a bit weird watching it in 60 fps and I do not have best seat in the world.
Atmosphere is absolutely amazing though. I think a few people are waiting for full fat LCS to really kick off, which is a shame as that first challenger game was ace.
Noise is something else. No idea how it comes across on Twitch, but when the crowd screams you cannot hear anything else. Best chant so far is Deman, I fully expect the Alliance/SK game to murder that.
