Leaker: Starfield Vehicles Update Coming August, Shattered Space September, Release Date Announcement at Gamescom

Only played a couple of hours. May just restart. Day one games really are pointless these days.
Agree. I played it some the first week or two and put it away for a while. Booted it up after the most recent update and it was a much more enjoyable experience.

Yep
I w8 for whole year to get patched and such...
Almost every new release of popular games are actualy in beta phase
I really dont understand thise developers anymore

Definitely will have to continue again once Shattered Space is out. Didn't get far in my NG+ run so it should be an excellent time

According to the person that leaked the weird development pictures of Starfield prior to it's first gameplay trailer, Shattered Space is releasing very soon:

Shattered Space is releasing this September. Release Date trailer dropping on August 20. Be sure to watch out for the next grand adventure in the universe of Starfield titled "Starborn" coming 2025+

They have the rights to not one but two of the most classic and recognizeable IPs, TES and Fallout, yet they seem determined to double down on the boring setting of Starfield?

Because space settings is the most unique aspect of gaming that is still not touched that much.

I need more space alien shit.

I personally loved Starfield, it's the only Bethesda RPG game I've actually finished and loved, hell I completed all the factions quests too what I loved.
I do think the temples could've been much better though, flying through light rings was very dull.
Really looking forward to this expansion :)

I tried and dropped new Vegas, fallout 4, Skyrim (360) & ESO, I might try Skyrim & fallout 4 again in the future with the series x updates.

Also Draugoth Draugoth do you read what you post? The trailer is the 20th August and release is september, according to your own post, but title says otherwise? 👀

This is why I don't buy Day1 games. Won't waste 70$ on a garbage beta testing.

I'm actually interested in the Starfield dlc since it seems to be leaning into the weird. Heard it's going to be in new handcrafted locations too.

The temples were incredibly redundant. Not sure what they were thinking there. But yeah, the factions were the best part. They kind of ruined the main story in the second half. Loved the ship building.

The ship stuff in general really surprised me as I thought I would hate it, but I spent a lot of hours doing bounties for the freestar rangers, taking down the crimson fleet ships etc :)

I also couldn't get into the base building stuff, but I think I'm too simple minded to figure it all out aha.

More handcrafted locations will be great! Also, let me build, run, and maintain a space station. That would be sick as fuck

I got overwhelmed with the base building stuff as well. I might give it another go though. Maybe watch some guides.

I'm pretty stoked about the new stuff coming. Space stations would be really cool.

I want my Shadow of Erdtree collector's edition gift contribution returned
Gaf should've contributed towards helping me add this to my physical Xbox collection instead 🥲

I wouldn't insult everyone's favourite games either or share hit pieces on Helldivers 2 :p

Not touched that much?

No Man's Sky
Elite Dangerous
Mass Effect Trilogy & Andromeda
Every Star Wars game ever
Starlink Battle for Atlas
The Outer Worlds
Every Star Trek game ever
Everspace
Wing Commander
CHORVS
Kerbal Space Program
Astroneer

… just off the top of my head, and not including Starfield. Space as a setting barely registers in Starfield. It exists as little more than a loading screen between planetary locations that aren't much different than TES or Fallout.

We got Fallout and ES multiple times. Starfield is a new IP. I think theyre just now barely tapping into the full potential with the setting for this expansion.

Also FO76 is getting another expansion I think. Really should try that if youre craving more FO.

Are they supposed to just run away with the money folks paid for the expansion?

You think it requires the entire studio to make an expansion?

So small amount of games then. Compared to other genre, this type of games are small.

Cool. I keep pushing it off, waiting for more mods. Cool's ones keep getting added and I keep thinking more are coming, so I don't want to start again yet, lol. It's a weird mental cycle I go through.

I think with the DLC releasing, that will be a good reason to completely jump back in.

Apart from the actual space combat, and the fact that you are flying around big space stations and the like?

Space is as big a part of the game as you want to make it

If you want to downplay a game that uses space and spaceships purely for loading, refer to Destiny.

Definitely down for this DLC!

.

Been holding off another play through until the expansion. The main quest was bobins but some of the side stuff was genuinely great.
