Resident Crybaby
Why would you even want that since these handhelds don't have the power to play good looking games from the past decade at native 1080p/60 with good settings, needless to say 120hz -- which is a pointless refresh rate for any of these devices, since on the 90hz OLED Steam Deck you can already lock your framerate to 40, 45, etc.
That's actually another benefit of this compared to the Steam Deck: VRR. You don't have to worry about locking your games to an arbitrary framerate. Your FPS can float between 35-50 or 45-60 or 70-100 or whatever, which is vital on a handheld IMO.
That and playing many 2D games like, say Hollow Knight or Cuphead or Ori at 1080p/120fps is a joy on these handhelds. Not to mention older games, less demanding games, emulated games, if you use GFN or Moonlight to stream your games, etc.. etc..
PLENTY of valid usecases for 1080p/120/VRR on these handhelds.
