Yeah, I can buy that it's her if they said it.
That picture of her is old, so of course facial features could have changed in the time.
Also, it's a cartoon. It's kind of hard to differentiate people by faces to begin with.
Honestly, if they said it was a future Asami, I'd buy that too.

I also like how the Dai Li were introduced, I was not expecting them to still be around.
I had so many feels seeing the Dai Li again.
Earth Kingdom has not changed worth a damn LOL
Loved that scene. Zuko just walks out and flys a dragon away like it's no big deal.

The music in that scene was incredible. I'm dying for a soundtrack ZUCKERMAAAAAN!
Well, a friend of mine informed me that there is a real life event they count base this on. Currently, there are 2 panchen lama's right now. One that's picked by the chinese government, and another one picked by the actual lineage panchen lama has descended from. This happens in other religions too, like the antipope of catholocism.
It might be that Zaheer didn't see Korra as the legitimate avatar. And if nothing else, it turns out that he has had very good cause to believe this. Korra has to be the one though. Not because of her bending, but Aang directly showed up and talked to her at one point.

This still was SO good. I got chills when I saw it.
They already have a UN. The White Lotus is more liks a conspiracy. A secret or shadowy at least organisation that operates global in the shadows.
I dunno, the White Lotus seem to operate pretty openly. Yes, they cooperate with the highest power-brokers in the United Republic and the Water Tribe, but they don't seem to be calling the shots themselves. They look and act more like a paramilitary organization these days, dedicated to protecting the Avatar. Although, like the Praetorian Guards before them, they seem to have overreached their mandate somewhat. Still, it's a truly bizarre transformation from ATLA, when the White Lotus was a small secret society dedicated to furthering understanding between the Four Nations. Sure, they got involved in the War at the very end, but the new organization is so different that I have to ask why they bothered keeping the name the same. It's not even just that the group's mission has changed; it's membership is very different (skewing younger and military-aged except for senior officers) and their methods of operation are completely different.
it's insane that this still isn't up on iTunes/Amazon. what are they thinking?
Zaheer = Jet = Euron = Daario = Benjen
Zaheer just screams air acolyte to me. May have felt wronged somehow by Aang? Or like you guys said, something regarding the White Lotus.
About Mako's mother being the fourth prisoner, I think most of you forgot that Mako told Korra that he saw his parents die when he was 8.
Now, Mako is 19 in season 2 and 3 and that woman prisoner akahas been imprisoned for 13 years so that means she was sent to the special prison when Mako was 6 making it impossible for her to be his mother, who died two years later.combustion lady/Pe Li
BUT I wouldn't put it past the writers to make it work somehow, but nah I really doubt it.
Would be a bad twist either way. I hope they don't go there. Plus it's implied that Zaheer has a thing with her.
That's because he resurrected her, frankenstein style. And then made love to her. It's why he was imprisoned.

They've been utter fools this whole series too. Sheltering Korra was the wrong idea, but aside from that, they're just guards who constantly get their asses kicked.
I wish we had a character in there. It'd give us some indication of what their goals are, or atleast assurance that they're still the good guys. The White Lotus is unrecognizable from the days of Iroh.
I will be very annoyed if the series ends without Korra learning how to metalbend or use lightning. Those seem like generic enough skills at this point that the Avatar would be expected to have them.
Go watch dat trailer.
God Dayum, there is some great discussion going on this thread. Don't have anything to contribute (as usual), but good read all the same.
Go watch dat trailer.
Thanks to you, I just found episode 4 of Book 3 on YouTube.English subtitles, but whatever. :lol
Why are the episodes already in the wild and are there more?
Which trailer?
Episodes 3 - 6 are out in the wild because Nick Mexico accidentally put them up as Book 2 episodes on their site
So of course someone noticed and proceeded to rip them, Only catch the episodes are only in Spanish
Probably part of the reason why Nick rushed the Premiere for Book 3 so soon
Is seriously like the idea of Zaheer being one of the White Lotus. It would make his attack on the Shipprison interesting. The guard immediately recognize him as he turns his face. They didn't expect Zaheer and he was years in prison and weren a disguise that hid his hair. Maybe they were used to see him in this uniform. Also that would explain how he knew where the prisons were.
And I still like the idea of P'Li being Bolins and Makos mother. I don't know why you are so hung up about her being Zaheers girlfriend. People can be unfaithful or just grow to love someone else. I mean, if he isn't your enemy he seems like a decent guy: sophisticated, strong, polite, intelligent and calm. The title of this book is "change". People can change, even if the look graceful in an old picture.
I will probably be disappointed, but I love speculating. I remember that one time when one guy forsaw every twist in Attack on Titan 1 1/2 years beforehand, picking up the correct foreshadowing and details.
