I Just hope they make a lot of interesting locales, vistas, and small Easter eggs. At least it was that that made me love San Andreas so much.

I end up beating the original Zelda on nes about a week ago (ayyyy) if they truly are taking from that game theres gonna be a few things id like to see which should translate. Im at work but ill post a list later.. let me just say zelda 1 aged pretty well.

Zelda 1 imo has aged terrible, it game of it era that I csn enjoy.
The secret hidden stuff you wouldnt find unless a guide is whats holding it down but whats under the game is whats good. Wouldnt it be awesome to find an enemy in the new Zelda thats so strong you just have to run away from it just to get to the next dungeon? I can imagine on Wii U this situation could be intensified. Only later in the game can you take it out when your stronger. The new Zeldas made items like new tunics a must to complete the game Zelda 1 made them a benefit to the player you didnt have to use them.. (the blue ring and red ring)

Hmm, Honestly the only big thing I want from the fist Zelda to return are maybe some of the enemies, and secret paths that take you across Hyrule. Likewise stronger Enemies that require you to evaluate your surroundings I think would be fine if handled right, and the rings or tunic upgrades would be ok, but I'd prefer that they found a way to make it so they don't change the green tunic.

Well in most Zelda games you end up changing tunic color at some part anyways its not permnant though not like you cant switch back

Weird, I count 6 dungeons in WW. Forsaken Fortress, Dragon Roost Cavern, Forbidden Woods, Tower of the Gods, Earth Temple, Wind Temple.

Edit: Oops! Two others said it. XD

Shame non of them are all that good. They're not bad mind you, but definitely not great.

I just don't want the TLoZ, ALttP, or ALBW solution where you're stuck in one color after getting a tunic upgrade, I'd prefer if the upgrade was invisible similar to the heart upgrade in OOT, or perhaps maybe a very slight addition to the main ensemble, like the earnings in SS.

That would be great too maybe actually bring the rings back. Doesnt have to be tunic changes

Well Like I said, I liked the medallions in SS the most, and for the most part they're pretty similar to the rings in the OOX games, the TLoZ rings if I remember right are a whole different thing. But yeah, I don't really mind how upgrades are handled, I just don't want to be stuck in one color.
Hopefully there will be costume options. I really like how Link looks without a hat/cap on his head in this demo.
The hood is fine, but like I said, I really don't want to not have the green tunic, because to me it's Green tunic > everything else, so yeah some costume options are fine, maybe have it be like ST like someone else said, where you have to unlock the starting outfit.

Wait it's going to be a at PAX and Gamescom?

Why wouldn't it be? Skyward Sword was at Gamescom in 2011 (my ass remembers it well, I sat on it for three hours waiting in line lol). No reason to assume Zelda U won't be at all the public events for glorious hands on time with the E3 demo.

I'm not so sure about Zelda being at PAX, Gamescom maybe. I mean, we haven't even gotten a trailer yet or any official art, so I mean, they might actually be saving a blowout of info for E3, as this game was definitely revealed in a much different way than any other Zelda game.

I specifically said PAX Prime. Not PAX East. It obviously won't be at PAX East.

So what do you guys expect to be improved by E3 when they show Zelda again?

Clearer IQ?

Less Jaggies?

Higher quality textures?

Better rocks?

Smoother animations?

More Wildlife and/or flora?

MORE BLOOM

Some of the above, certainly. The final year can mean a lot in the development of a Zelda game as the team knuckles down and finalises things knowing what they can and can't do with the assets versus engine, even sometimes sacrificing performance for added effects and detail. Ocarina lacked a noticeable slice of its final detail and polish in 1997. Ditto Wind Waker in 2001 and Skyward Sword in 2010.

1) If they show a direct feed video, then yes, the IQ will be clearer, just like the E3 trailer which looked spectacular

2) Jaggies? Neither video had any jaggies.

3-4) Nintendo usually adds the graphical details last, so yeah, expect them to be better.

5) I didn't notice any smoothless animations in the previous videos.

6) more flora, definitely. Maybe not Witcher 3 amount though.

7) No bloom.

Number 5, the horse vault is glaringly janky, and movement while using sailcloth is a little off I think. Other than that, everything looks good so far.

Not sure how we would be able to tell since we only have perfectly clean footage form E3 and horribly blurry off-screen footage from TGA.

I'd have to assume that at this point in development their focus is on content creation and they've pretty much locked the technical details of the IQ. I hope some of those textures look better upon release but I don't expect anything radically different.

visual polish always gets applied during the final phase. reminder: this is a nintendo game.

I personally really liked Earth and Wind Temple. Other than that, yeah the rest were kind of all right, barely memorable. I did find Forsaken Fortress unique, even if not my favorite.

We talking about gimmicks now? I love Zelda gimmicks, but only if they go all the way. For example Twilight princess didn't go far enough with the wolf gimmick.

That was one of my major problem with TP. The scent trail things, the animal interaction thing, among other mechanics were never taken full advantage of.

Better textures, more wildlife, better animations, more details.

I just wanna see more of the map.

EDIT: Wait, I take that back, I want to see more of the game, period.

Yeah the Graphics definitely need some work.

The E3 trailer gave me that magical, "living" world feel that OoT had. Then that illusion was destroyed with the world scale demo.

Hopefully they can bring it up to snuff.

It's early footage I bet they will populate the over world more. The last two Zelda games had pretty densely populated overworlds.

It's just early footage. Don't worry erry buddy : )

I hope the final game will have a pretty clear iQ, more variety in flora (colour and different sorts of trees, etc) and more wildlife.
Just more of a living breathing world in general. RDR did this pretty good imo.

I dont want another Midna because she stole the spotlight from others, not Fi either, something between, but less talking.

Well, she's the titular character, makes sense that she steals the show. In the end, she's the main character more than Link is.

Oh and I want to see a dungeon.

Gameplay mechanic, gimmick, is that not the same? a gimmick can be a good gameplay mechanic.

...that's true.

Gimmick when associated with Nintendo usually means "bad tacked on and implemented thing." So I wanted to say I'd like something really new that's fun and well implemented into the game...

Yes the title, well not something like that again, not focus on only one character at the cost of others. (unless you mean, like, well written,)

But ,what if the overworld is the only dungeon? :P

:(

Then hang out with the rest of us who have to wait until November^^
