gah. Sooo much stuff that I want! Jabba's Barge, all the LotR stuff (since it's LotR and I'm taking a completionist approach with that line), the Creator houses, some of the Galaxy Squad, the new modular, and the other big 10XXX sets coming out. Oh my.

The Brick Show has started their video coverage. They'll be doing set previews at first, then hopefully longer set reviews tomorrow or Tuesday.

Some of the videos are low res now, but should be upped once they have everything uploaded for the day and can get the larger files transferred over.

With all this stuff coming out and am really glad I don't have an interesting in most of the lines. City, Star Wars and Creator for me still. Although I will have to pic up that Galaxy Squad Mech for sure. Great stuff though. Thanks Ghost.

60027 Monster Truck Transport; 299pcs; $29.99
60020 Cargo Truck; 321pcs; $39.99

The Star Wars sets here don't interest me as much. I would really like to see the 10000 series stuff. That is more my area of desire.

I have found a couple good deal on set 7462 Garage that was a 2009 set. I just recently found this set going back through the back catalog of sets I missed while I was away from LEGO. I believe I am going to buy one of them off EBAY and attempt a modular garage to go on my street. City sets have always been my favorite and this set looked like it could be a nice starting point for my first modular MOC. Hopefully I can grab one of these sets for a good price this week.

All of the new Castle stuff looks amazing. But damn, no new The Old Republic sets. Hopefully the rumor of the the new set for the August line proves true.

I want to buy cheap bricks assorted. Where is the best place to buy a bunch of them to go with my lego sets?

The cheapest source possible is if somebody on ebay or craigslist is selling an enormous quantity of old bricks just to get rid of them. It'd be a randomized pile of bricks.

If you have something specific in mind ("I want to build a forest! give me green and brown!"), either buy them on the website Bricklink, directly from Lego.com, or from the more limited selection at a physical Lego Store's pick-a-brick wall. All these options will be more expensive than settling for a random pile of stuff.

Heads-up for anyone in the states. TRU is currently running a special for $15 off a Lego purchase of $75 or more.

I know most of the licensed sets have a bigger mark-up at TRU. But I found the Hillside House Creator set for $74.99 and the sale brought it down to just above $60 with taxes.

Worth checking out to see if they have any older sets or stuff that might be OOP. I remember another TRU near me had some of the older Castle stuff (that Mill Raid one?), which I know has been OOP for a little while too.

Thanks for the reply. I probably will buy random bulk amount from ebay. Then if I need specific stuff go to brinklink. I already checked that out but I don't have specific needs yet. My son is building a town and buying CITY sets currently.

*this version is carded, but you can get othe minifig when you buy the upcoming DVD

LEGO PERSPECTIVE TIME:

Adding up all the extant sets I want was making me cringe at the awful impossible priceiness.... and then I realized I didn't have this year's batman sets, superman sets, or the remaining modulars.

it's a good thing I have decided to refrain from star wars.

Must haves for me:

31012 Family House; 756pcs; $?
31010 Treehouse; 356pcs; $?
79008 Pirate Ship Ambush; 756pcs; $99.99
75022 Mandalorian Speeder; 211pcs; $24.99
75020 Jabba's Sail Barge; 850pcs; $119.99
70404 King's Castle; 996pcs; $99.99

Lower Priority But I Will Probably Buy Anyway Oh God:

75019 AT-TE; 794pcs; $89.99
75021 Republic Gunship; 1175pcs; $119.99
70707 CLS-89 Eradicator Mech; 440pcs; $44.99

And I know that the wife is going to really want the Friends yacht with any other Friends releases being much lower priority. At least the releases on these are spread out with the most expensive line overall (Star Wars) not being out until late summer for me.

Someone mentioned this before, but exactly what 10000-series sets are we waiting on? Those are usually the UCS-esque ones right? I didn't see anything on bricklink, are these rumors or?

Hold on a minute, I don't watch Clone Wars but does Darth Maul have three blades coming out of the same lightsaber now? The fuck is this.

So far, only the new plane is calling me, and that makes me happy.

Then I realise this doesn't include any 10xxx sets and that makes me scared again.

(I think only palace cinema and horizon express of the current sets this year)

We're waiting for the Sydney Opera House, Ewok Village, UCS X-wing, new Winter Village set and an unnamed Creator Expert set.

Hmmm. I'm not sure if it's worth buying the dragon attack pretty much exclusively for the dragon or to track one down separately. Is there a red dragon released already?

Probably getting Saruman vs Gandalf as it would be nice to have a Saruman figure in general, and it's priced for an impulse buy. I'd like the eagle as well, but I'll probably pass.

Speaking of Saruman, does he and Dooku have the same face?

Also, I wish that bitch Anna could get a release in a smaller Friends set, I need that hairpiece at a reasonable price.

Oh, and third question: is that electricity piece Dooku is using a new one?

Haven't seen that Galaxy Squad orange/white Interceptor that separates into a smaller vehicle yet that has been shown in a video a couple pages back here!

What set is that and why is not present here? :(

The Bug Obliterator. You aren't seeing it here because it has been out since December in North America.

You'll be getting all the Galaxy Squad goodness at once though.

Wow. I really like the look of this model.

Cool that they are bring back that colour scheme. One of my favourites, especially because of MMV.

And I wish I got that VIP keyring. :(

Once we hit 2015, I think we are going to hit a period of sets mostly from the new Star Wars films for at least 6 years, with the odd OT or PT set thrown in.

I'll be picking up all the 2013 SW sets, but that is typical for me.

Other than the next series of the Buildable Galaxy sets, I'm not interested in any of the Star Wars sets this year. Thankfully I can save some cash.

Olnly Jabba's Sail Barge this year for me, I already bought the A-Wing, so I'll try to complete the minifigures series collection for the rest of the year, only thing that could surprise me and obliterate my wallet would be those rumored USC X-Wing and Sand Crawler.

I can not wait until 2015. Pumped for movies and pumped for new sets.

Yeah I got the A-Wing. Love it.

That's the one!!! Thanks, it looks great to me, what is the consensus on it since it's been out in the US, anyone here own it?

I see Zelda is up for review again. Maybe he'll strike lucky and a collectable minifig will have a suitable hat by the time the review comes round.

relaxor

what?
Great sets coming out in the Friends line! Love the brick build boat. My favorite set though is Castle's 70404 The Gatehouse Raid, it's got one of everything, might pick it up.
