Evening gentlemen,

I'm currently in the process of rounding up and selling my rather large collection of Star Wars Lego.

Some are quite valuable, so I thought I'd pop my head in and see if anyway wants to complete their collection. All the sets have been played with, but as a careful child they are all in superb condition.

A selection of some of the stuff I have:

X-wing Fighter 7140/7142
TIE Advanced & Y-wing 7150 (boxed)
Millennium Falcon (version 1) 7190 (boxed)
Rebel Blockade Runner (UCS) 10019
T-16 Skyhopper 4477
Mos Eisley Cantina 4501
TIE Bomber 4479
Snowspeeder 7130
Cloud City 10123
B-wing at Rebel Control Center 7180
Imperial AT-ST 7127
Imperial Shuttle 7166
Ewok Attack 7139
Jabba's Palace 4480
Naboo Fighter 7141
Battle Droid Carrier 7126

And a couple of others. All are complete except for the Naboo fighter for which I only have the fighter, no minifigs. Message me if you're interested in purchasing. I'm in the UK.

Two rowboats joined together... clever!

The site says this is the final SDCC reveal - so I guess the Batman/Flash set was the reveal for today then?

I wonder if LEGO was asked by WB to pull the other Hobbit sets after PJ decided to not show the movie at SDCC? Initial info was that there was going to be a larger reveal this this.

Must be. I wanted to see more but I can wait a little longer. I think this is a good sign we have a Smaug set incoming...

Decided to stop by TRU on the way to work. It was worth it.

Now for it to bake in the trunk of my car for 8 hours until my shift is over. :(

Darn you, I really want this set...I'm tempted to hunt it down but a part of me wants to wait for that August bonus set...darn you...decisions, decisions...

Oh and that Hobbit set is pretty cool...I may have to get it. I think it has some nice character and the buildings are designed pretty nicely, I'm game!

That's what I think happened or some other business reason...

That is clever. I didn't notice that. I thought it was some old mould they used for viking sets a ways back.

Lake Chase will be mine, I love the little boat! I almost have enough variety in my boats to put together some kind of scene. :)

Super jealous of Phonciple as the cruiser is unlikely to enter my house before Christmas. :(

Went to TRU. Roommate picked up Jedi Defender for $90. Surprised it wasn't marked up. Jeks ship was there and marked up 15 dollars. We were both confused by that.

I picked up the new Lego City Heliplane and Grand Prix Truck. Had them price match it to Lego.com pricing.

Still not sure how the Defender was 90....

Picked up my BTTF set from a UK store today. I love it.

I even mixed the bags...

The typo was still there on these early versions btw...

Plus, I managed to fit the Doc and Marty in - although it is a bit of a squeeze.

It's growing on me, seeing the Brothers Brick Review and how you can make all 3 versions helped me a bit, since you can see why they didn't use a slope for the front piece.

I'll likely buy 3 so I can build all of them on display at once. I'll wait til they're released on lego.com though. I'm in no hurry.

The BttF set looks good.

I've finished 4x4 and it's an awesome build aswell as a finsished set. I thought the 4 channels were different speeds though. The doors have great lockings and you need to open the driver's to switch the power functions on - that's cool.

I can defintitely recommend it. Especially the coming new version.
My first set with no stickers applied (which feels kind of lame).

It's like they're trying to make our Star Wars section as ugly as possible...

You can have Lucas Films marketing people to thanks for that. Hopefully, Disney will be wiser when it come to product packaging design. I can accept the unify theme if it is nice looking but every years it seems to get uglier. I am not sure what that picture of Vader suppose to evoke. All it remind me was that horrible "Nooooo" scene from Revenge of the Sith. Also with 3D plan gone we are left with the odd Yoda theme for this year and that Vader theme that suppose to tie in with Ep3. next year.

Speaking of tie in, I finish building the Corporate Tank Droid last night. The track parts weren't so bad, and they do look nice and probably better in the long run then rubber track which tends to dry out and cracked.

The build is actually pretty fun and very interesting. I don't know how accurate it is and how it compares to the old version. To me it seems a bit small than what I remember but I couldn't find good reference picture. The model is more like "representation" of the shape than the actual reproduction of the vehicle.

The vehicle do look good, and I like the "snail" inspire single track tank.

The only new Mini-figs is Jango Fett and he looks great. Clonetrooper phase 1 is the same one that come with the planet set and Droid is the same one we have been getting for years except in new rust color. I love the clear amber pieces in the set.

Here is a comparison to the old "pink" version from several years ago. I don't think LEGO got the color right, he should be more "reddish" rather than orange brown.

Parting shot of why you really would have bought the set, it's definitely not for the tank droid that most people don't even remember. That said, I really like the set, especially at $20.00 price point it gives you a lot of pieces and cool building techniques. (Jango decoration is printed with shiny chrome paint and looks really good).

Damn your pics makes me wanna get the set. It didn't interest me that much before. I also just (re?)realised how good quality the SW sets actually are. So many of them though!

And dat amber.

My second SDCC day started badly. All the tickets to purchase the exclusive sets were gone before the convention opened to the general public. All the exhibitors got to the booth before the general public got inside. In addition, they sold out of the BTTF set completely. I'll have to wait on August 1st to get it with everyone else.

The raffle line was better managed today and held outside. My day ended nicely when I added this minifigure into my collection:

This thread is dangerous. The warning is in the title. Many sets you didn't have any interest in slowly grows on you little by little. Cool photos, comments on little details you didn't notice, etc.

Enjoy!

Saw the friends cruiser as well at TRU as well as the other new friends sets such as the school... was really tempted to get it, especially after seeing you snatch it up PhoneBone... but argh I don't want to pay the TRU tax... I'll wait :)

It is a 100% guaranteed buy for me though!

TRU tax was only $5. Not too bad. The school looked nice too, but I can wait on that.

Partway through bag 2 now, and this thing is pretty sweet. The main hull is in shape, now it is time for interior details. Two twin beds in the main cabin? Awesome.

Yeah, expect lots of pictures when this is done. I feel this is a very good gateway set. And it will obviously be super popular with people for MOCs because of the white ship hull pieces.

Yeah, fair enough. But I'd like it below msrp T__T I just can't keep buying all these big sets at msrp, it's too much! I've made a pact with myself that I have to seek out bargains if I'm to continue with LEGO... I just have too much to spend money on these days! But I really applaud your choice... it's a great set

According to sources, LEGO Star Wars will have a heavy Episode 3 focus in 2014, much like they did with Episode 2 this year.

Also, expect the battle-packs to return to the single-faction focus.

If you have TRU reward, they send out $10.00 off coupon couple weeks ago, spend $50.00 get $10.00 off (that's what I used for the two Star Wars to off-set the TRU-tax). There were two coupons, one already expired, and another one for Sunday.

Also my TRU didn't have the Jedi Defender. I know sometimes they do forget to put the "tax" as my local TRU have the Falcon for regular suggested retail price for the longest time.
