How does one get their hands on the BttF set, LegoGAF?
According to sources, LEGO Star Wars will have a heavy Episode 3 focus in 2014, much like they did with Episode 2 this year.
Also, expect the battle-packs to return to the single-faction focus.
Wow...how long ahead do they plan this stuff? This year I get with the 3D movie plan for last year, but next year too??
Maybe they just have sets designed and priced that'll work so they're just sticking with them?

Thought I read somewhere that it takes about 2 years to get a set out from conception to final release. They need to have price points in mind, then design the sets, refine them, etc. Then make instructions, packaging, marketing, blah blah blah.
Not sure where I read that though, but a 1-2 year turnaround sounds about right.
I believe that final set review for the 2014 sets happened in October 2012. These things take a while to manufacture, produce supporting materials, market and ship worldwide in the quantities they do.
Is this at comic-con? (Architecture studio)
Nice review, Bone.
It's a nice yacht set but the colors definitely ruin it for me. I guess one could just replace the pieces with other colors pieces and get a pretty sweet lookin' boat.
But that would mean they're have to have the 2015 sets planned by the end of this year, which seems crazy considering that's when Episode & is supposedly going to come out.
If I rebuild it, I might not do any mods except colors. Same techniques, just more subdued colors to see how it looks. Might be a fun and small project.Nice review, Bone.

Be thankful I was too tired to go find my Hulk, Spidey, and Deadpool figures to assist in the review. There's something about your reviews, Phon. I never cared about the Friends sets until now.

More from this set at FBTB.
Hell is getting to the end of a 2000 piece Technic build and realising that *somewhere* you've confused dark grey pieces with black ones and that you'll never find out where you went wrong, so have to live with it.
I'm in the hospital, been laid up for about a week, now.
Live in Europe sadly. We have to wait for a bit.
Ah, August 1. Cheers, man. Here's hoping that the AU store gets a decent amount of stock.
Also, I only just realized how much better the Cuusoo version is compared to the original on the whole; sure, the hood certainly isn't great and the wheels for the Part III model aren't as cool, but everything else looks a lot more swish.
Apologies if these pics have already been referred to!
Almost two months since my last LEGO purchase, am I now clean?
Finished the IS!
It was a fun build, just a few tedious parts on the wings with the 1x1 bricks. It's also a very very fragile model. Not sure how long I'll be able to display it with the kids around.
Cool, looks like another couple new set reveals today.
For Phonciple, and anyone else, who wanted to know the parts breakdown of the Architecture Studio set:
Unfortunately I think they are the already shown LEGO Movie set and the Laketown Hobbit set - USAToday and MTV just got to show them earlier (which is silly).
I checked my e-mail and I can't find this coupon... was it by mail?If you have TRU reward, they send out $10.00 off coupon couple weeks ago, spend $50.00 get $10.00 off (that's what I used for the two Star Wars to off-set the TRU-tax). There were two coupons, one already expired, and another one for Sunday.
Also my TRU didn't have the Jedi Defender. I know sometimes they do forget to put the "tax" as my local TRU have the Falcon for regular suggested retail price for the longest time.
You've actually made me come around on the set somewhat. I didn't like the model before, but these pics do a good job of showing the rest of the model off.Ah, August 1. Cheers, man. Here's hoping that the AU store gets a decent amount of stock.

That particular set was acquired at LegoLand California.
Select B&N stores will be running Architecture events between next Thursday and Saturday. They should have sets available at these events. LEGO will then have them for purchase later in August I believe.
Check with your local B&N stores to see if they are participating.
Great parts selection for MOC pieces. But not $150 great. For Phonciple, and anyone else, who wanted to know the parts breakdown of the Architecture Studio set:
Tony's face at the end is priceless.
Yes it was in front of small catalog, one of those peel out type.I checked my e-mail and I can't find this coupon... was it by mail?
