How does that picture exist? It looks like it was taken from the back of someone's car... is LEGO stealth-releasing this ship tomorrow?

EDIT: LOL

Reactions:

2741 pieces?!? OHMIGODOHMIGOD
It is Steampunk! OHGEEZOHGEEZ
It includes a smaller MetalBeard and Benny?! Awesome!
It includes the bunk beds? LOLOL
How many cannons?!?
That cow has wings!!

I have a really good feeling about this set!

If there is a smaller body for MetalBeard he probably can switch bodies.

I'm not feeling it for that set. I'll pick it up if it ever gets discounted close to the 50% range.

I was thinking that "cow with wings" was a griffin. Maybe it's a cowfin.

It's the LEGO black market. Maybe organized crime is seeing the profits in LEGO.

The ship is a dream come true. metalbeard looks smaller, so it does seem to be a different build. which is strange, but I like it. Also: Benny... I need to see the fig up close to know what I think about the sculpted pre-broken helmet. I hope they pull it off and it looks good and not too forced.

100% buying this set. ONE HUNDRED PERCENT.

I really need to see this movie. Hope it delivers.

Stealth release of Benny's Spaceship and the Sea Cow would be mind blowing. But if it were a stealth launch, it would have leaked earlier.

Something doesn't add up. If it were a traditional 2nd wave summer set, then we wouldn't see anything until Toy Fair in mid-February. Also, if it were an empty box, then why would LEGO ship an empty box to a LEGO store (which is the only conceivable place this originated) months in advance? Unless this is a leak from somewhere in manufacturing, and they are gearing up this early...

EDIT: The image originates on Eurobricks from a poster named "Carlos S." who joined back in July 2012, but this is his first post.

Let's go down the list from that blurry pic alone:
Large, ridiculously proportioned ship. Rigid plastic Technic sails. Propellers and engines everywhere. LOTS of cannons. Anti aircraft guns. Good ole' ship rigging (should make many people happy). More MetalBeard. Queasy Unikitty. A cow with wings. Double decker couch.

All this set needs is power functions and light bricks to push the insanity even further.

Geez, walk away from the site for a few hours and miss out on this baby being shown? Did not expect to see this today.

Any word or guesses as to price for that? With that piece count, $250 seems like a real possibility though I'd prefer it more to be in the $200-220 range, with potential sales or discounts bringing that down even further with patience.

$250 is my guess. Of course, with what looks like ship hull parts on the base, that might push it to $275. It definitely will be below $300.

I don't own any LEGO ships, but considered some many times. Frankly this one will be a perfect way to dive in. It's just bonkers and awesome in its execution, way more fun than a traditional ship.

Actually I was thinking since almost all the movie sets so far have had alternate builds what if this has an alternate build? And if so....what could it be? A Sandcrawler alt?

I just got back from LEGO store and the Movie stuffs are selling really well. I picked up Rescue Reinforcement set using that $10 rebate. MetalBeard, Ice Cream truck and Uni-kitty are next. They didn't put anything new out sadly

I hope the movie is a success, all the set so far are awesome. :)

Soon. Trying not to overdo it tonight so I can wake early and drive to the store.

I am legitimately concerned about how much I may walk out with tomorrow. I know Ill be getting the Restaurant, but I may end up with the Mars Rover, 1 or 2 Movie sets and CMFs. Not to mention the PAB wall. Could easily top 300 if i am not careful.

The only thing I know I wont buy with the Maersk Ship, since the 50000 stickers will let me hold off on it until a VIP event or something.

Have you heard anything about the Mars Rover being a website exclusive for the first few weeks like the Nether and Vilage sets earlier, ghostmind?

Nope - I forgot to bring it up last time I was at the store. BttF was a day-1 release at LEGO stores, so I'm hoping that the Mars Rover is as well.

How fast did carlos get banned cause that shit isn't tolerated there afaik due to their close relationship with LEGO Group.

Edit: i guess he wouldn't be, because there is no usual top secret shit overlaying the picture so no bannable offence.

Mos Eisley Cantina doesn't sound expensive enough. Needs to have lots of unique minifigs!

The shop site where these summer set rumors have been coming from has been found.

It looks legit.

I'll have some other themes posted in a few minutes.

All I care about is that comes with a new Dewback and I'm sold. Nowadays the most important things in Star Wars to me mostly involve Sandtroopers and sometimes Jawas. The sandcrawler might be a must mostly depending on the interior and if there are mini figures.

Also, I feel like I'm going to have too many Emmets (
even more so if my belief that Benny is Emmet in disguise is true
) but the CMF Emmet is tempting due to the happy faces.

Lego-GAF,

My niece received her first set of Legos a few weeks back and she really liked it. It was some sort of garden theme... I don't know. She's 8 and said she really liked it.

So for Christmas the wife and I gifted her a 1,000 piece starter set.

How did I do?

Best uncle?

Meh uncle?

Validate me as an uncle damnit.
