From Naughty Dogs Twitter, by a guy named christophe. If this was a set I would day one it no matter how much it costs. Too bad Lego will never license TLOU.

This kind of thing makes me really want "adult" Lego. I'd totally buy a TLoU set and every machine from Horizon Zero Dawn.

cool, gets points deducted thought for not being modular compatible. :p

I know you are joking but what I specially liked ishow he elevated the terrain and made it interesting, not being a flat baseplate. The pole looks great too, the building a little too generic but that was not the point.

Would buy.

Release it in Force Friday with a 1st day only exclusive minifig promo for maximum pain (and profit)!

It would be a bloodbath at LEGO stores then. The scalpers would win that way, no matter what. The kind of people that would bring their children and nephews/niece's saying they want to buy one too.

Hopefully they are mildly intelligent and make it 1 per order at least. But as long as they don't only make a tiny amount for 3 months of sales I don't care as long as I get one.

I am pretty sure that big sets are limited to 2 per customer, not orders, anyway. It does not stop scalpers.

If it makes their lives even slightly more difficult I'm ok with it lol.

Not even sure I'd want to buy 2 and then have to deal with Ebay and some twat claiming a paypal refund or something.

One of the Winter 2017/18 "The Last Jedi" sets:

Looks like there will be a sizeable TLJ wave for Winter. Probably in part due to LEGO having to switch gears and release sets for the Han Solo movie in April.

They retired the old one recently, right?

hey all, i was at walmart today and noticed they marked down the rathtar escape set to $54. checking the app it seems like a handful of stores here (michigan) have the same price. might be worth checking out your area.

You guys can use the Walmart app or Brickseek to check your local Walmart clearance deals.

And some of those prices are going to go lower. Don't buy too early ;)

My walmart had almost everything on clearance as well. There was one Scuttler left on the shelf for $49, total impulse purchase. Looking forward to working on it this weekend.

My son has flipped Lego preferences and now wants City stuff for his birthday. Anyone have any experience with that line? He's turning 5 so he's on the lower end of the age range. He's also pretty good with instructions. I've been browsing the deals and have been surprised at the MSRP on some of these City sets - they're priced as if they're licensed.

I think Lego decided that if the elementary school boys of the world have a bottomless appetite for police sets, things should be priced to capitalize on that.

Just remember that Lego City is a crime ridden place that is always on fire. Does your kid like playing with the minifigs or the building and re-building aspect more? If he likes the figs one of those two people/fig packs would probably be a great pick up. Especially the beach one for the summer plus it has some neat play elements like a kayak and s sail board. Otherwise just look for good sales to cut down on that Lego City tax.

City line prices have been increased a lot, thev ratio per pieces is really bad. I still buy some sets for my upcoming city, but Creator is better. I just assembled the Service Station and soon it will be modded to fit my city. It is a good set. Aside for the occasional vehicle, maybe he will like the current Jungle Explorers subtheme?

My BAP order arrived! A few opaque "glass" doors, tons of 2x2 SNOT, a bunch of the tan corner SNOT, plenty of 1/4 corner tiles in four colours, half rounded tiles, flowers in white and LBG, some rare parts like the lightning bolts, umbrellas and machetes, a Nexo sword and a jaguar (or, as I'm assuming it will be reused next year, a black panther).

Also a bunch of Brickheadz parts, so I'll be building those now.

Thanks for the responses. He does like vehicles AND taking apart/rebuilding, so I'm thinking I might get him something heist-related.

I havent got any City sets yet, my son is 1.5. But I think the police station and fire station are pretty good value when on discount, it usually comes down to AU$100 for us from a regular price of around $140-150. You get a number of vehicles and the building is pretty big. You might have to build some bits for him, but he could build all the vehicles I think.

Otherwise some of the $20 sets like van and caravan and cargo plan are pretty good value too and I plan on getting some of those down the line.

I am very close to paying after market prices for this. -_- Would be only the second time I've done that. (I previously paid $300 for the Imperial Flagship and don't regret that at all.)

That's what I'm doing with Cafe Corner and Market Street. They're the only two modulars I don't have, haha.

How long have the modulars been around? I wonder if we'd ever seen a Star Wars type situation where older sets would get tweaked and re-issued a few years later (i.e. four versions of the Sith Interceptor). I know there was some talk about the entire modular line going away, but if it's not, maybe we'd see re-issues later?

I think there is still plenty of room for new builds before they need to think about reissue.

I don't think the rumor was serious, AFAIK it was only based on the 10th anniversary using "last modular" in some promo material.

I don't see them re-releasing an old one instead of a new one (there's plently of possibilities), but at the same time, they did it for the winter village...
