"Don't look at the crap" is a lazy response. I guess same with obesity epidemic and fentanyl tragedy in the US - just don't eat all this stuff! Don't do drugs, it's bad for you! C'mon, we can do better.
No less lazy than saying "ban the app". Which is a much more dangerous precident. Who is banning it? We are skirting a no go topic here. As for obesity and fentanyl those are completely different. Fentanyl is already "banned" yet issues still exists. How good and effective are "bans"?
Nutrition ihas a lot of factors that manipulate food and eating habits of the US.
As someone who struggles with an addiction with screen related content I can say it is a lazy response. It takes a lot to give up bad habits and compulsive behaviors.
My only point is TikTok is no worse than any Meta app, Google app and others. They just have a better algorithim.
Wtf...!?
If an app/any media outlet does not conform with regulations it should definitelly and positively be banned and apropriate legal action should follow.
Or do you want pedophilia normalized?(it already is, courtesy of TikTok) Or criminals like Tate being role models for your kids?(they already are, courtesy of TikTok) Or maybe some taliban beheadings this evening, for the family entertainment? (guess what, TikTok got you covered)
Lines must be drawn, a "police" should exist, for better or worse. People are stupid and vile as it is, we don't need them even more stupid.
You are bringin up things I didn't even comment on. And brining up CP or pedophiles is just a way at strawmanning my argument. I never addressed these points and don't want to. Go back and read my initial post. I said "criminals should be prosecuted".
You can't make it a crime to "publish a how to" of a crime. If thats the case any fiction movie, book or show with a crime is then not allowed. That is insane.
