I would venture that if you were to ask any comic book fan of any time period in any part of the world Patrick Stewart would always be the only choice for Prof. X ...
as in... even if you went before either the Xmen or Patrick Stewart were born and asked a Roman or whatever who would most kill it as the Professor the centurion you stopped in the dusty street would be like
"Capt. Picard.... obviously."

I'll go along with it as long as they're casting Teen Storm and not replacing Halle Berry. I don't think it's Halle Berry's fault the early movies gave Storm such a weak characterization, but that's pretty much true of anyone that isn't Wolvie, Prof. X, or Magneto (and maybe Mystique).
Of course, I'd be interested in seeing if Berry could pull off the African weather goddess. It would kind of make sense considering the next baddie is a mutant posing as a god.

do you mean the movie writers or comic writers. the movie writers treat her like a damn afterthought, but some of the comic writers have done her justice
BTW, now I'm curious, does anybody know what's currently going on with Storm in the comics? She's divorced from Black Panther right, and was recently involved in Xmen Vs. Avengers? (I'm so behind, still have no idea what happens there but heard it's a great arc) And she's not part of the Fantastic Four anymore right, that was a temp thing?

I remember a decade ago, maybe less, she had a 4 part series, but I only managed to get ahold of the first one (which I still own). It wasn't great but it was something. But this new story, man I'm excited

I'm very partial to the mega mohawk look above all else.
Man, I sure liked that Kaare Andrews art. He's divisive for sure, and his style is very outrageous, but I love it.
