Let's Talk About PlayStation VR: List of Upcoming Titles

nbnt

is responsible for the well-being of this island.
My understanding is that the Batman VR demo that was shown behind closed doors is pretty much the finished product. The only thing left is bug-fixing and polishing. And based on developer interviews and podcasts I've listened to, a single playthrough will be about 60 minutes.

I'll be interested to see how they price that, as it's not something I would necessarily be comfortable paying more than $10 for.
It's $20:

I feel like if it was $5 cheaper it would sit well. But at least it's good to know that most VR games will be $20 going by the launch list.

Edit:
Sociable Soccer, designed by Sensible Soccer co-creator Jon Hare, has PSVR support planned.

Found it in the comment section

Yes we can confirm that Playstation VR will be supported when Sociable Soccer is released early next year. That smiling dude is Amar Djouad, our art director, and he is smiling because playing a great football game hovering above the pitch like a god feels amazing

Jim Ryan made an interesting comment at E3 on creating PSVR games:

In some cases, DRIVECLUB for example, GT for example, it's basically taking the PS4 game and making a VR version quite easily but in many other cases it's starting with a clean sheet of paper and building something from the ground up.

The way he said it made DRIVECLUB VR sound a bit more substantial than just a demo. I hope that it's a good portion of the game.

I think you can delete Adr1ft from the list. There is no confirmation anywhere to bed found. So I asked the developer. He (Adam Orth) said that is a question for the publisher. This means there is nothing in the game right now, and development of PSVR support is not even been planned.

The publisher (505 Games) doesn't answer questions, sadly. So I see no reason for the entry to remain until there is an answer.

That's weird because both 505 Games and ThreeOneZero studios have been confirmed as Devs that have PSVR kits and are on the list and 310 studios has only been working on Adr1ft all these years.

Also, DOAX3 confirmed as a launch title!

I have to wonder if there is such a thing as too many launch titles.

I don't know how many PSVRs Sony are planning on selling, but is there a danger that some smaller games could get lost in the criowd? It would be a shame if some of the pioneers of VR get put off producing further titles due to losing out in an over-competitive post-launch marketplace.

Was always obvious to me. Something like driveclub should just let you play 100% of the content in VR. Maybe not Bikes though.

Can be said for any "cockpit" type game, which includes driving cars.

But for other types of games, even FPS, you need to create something from the ground up for it to work well and feel natural.

So, I'm just clearing out my "gaming junk" room and found my old move controllers...they are on charge now and I'll test them tonight. Hopefully they still work.

I also found my sharpshooter, still with a navigation controller in it. I know people have said the navi controller won't be compatible with PSVR but do we know about the first party move peripherals?

Basically I'm hoping I could play Farpoint with the sharpshooter...

AFAIK the Farpoint developers stated somewhere that the game will support either Dualshock 4 or the Aim Controller. Two Move won't work, you need at least one analogue stick.

Maybe they reconsider and support Move Motion and Navigation combo (with or without Sharpshooter), but I doubt it. My current hope is they bring a cheap Aim bundle to promote it.

Added Multiplayer Component Tag to inform people of the PSVR games that support either online multiplayer or some sort of multiplayer mode via local co-op or social screen.

I added this tag because I saw people in other threads thinking some VR games were singleplayer experiences that offered no replayability or thought that some games were online only like Rigs or EVE. Hopefully this tag clears some of the misunderstandings.

Hoping for maximum spoopiness with this one.

I think you have a good point. Also its important to remember that constant dribble of new titles every week and a major release every other month atleast is also equally important for the success of PSVR. Otherwise it might end up like Vita with the largest launch line up And a very poor performance afterwards

Thanks for all the work you're doing Sangetsu-II. This thread is really informative and fun to read.

this thread only safe place for psvr and very informative too keep it up dude

Ain't that the truth. There's so much negativity towards PSVR on GAF and I still don't understand why.

Actually, I have a hypothesis: there's so much misinformation being spread about VR and people refuse to educate themselves.

It frustrates me greatly.

I was only mildly interested in PSVR until I tried it at Best Buy this last weekend. Now, I'm completely on board. I played Eve Valkyrie and my fiancee went through the Deep Dive demo, part of VR worlds. She really loved it!

I know many think it will be a fad, but for $500 (the bundle I would choose, since I don't have the camera) it's an experience I can't pass up.

PlayRoom VR will be included with each headset so these look a bit primitive to be included as well but may be similar to the Wii's in-the-box Wii Play minigames.

I would have thought it more likely that Playroom VR is a free update to the original Playroom that comes pre-installed on all PS4s.

Each headset will be accompanied by a demo disc. Question is, are those game demos or just tech demos as shown above?

I don't think it's included with the headset, it's a downloadable title. The Demo disc that's been talked about and described on Amazon's PSVR page is for people to test out the headset without the purchase of the a a game.

I didn't mean physical, just that the PlayRoom VR games come free with each headset(free download). That being said I do remember now that someone at Sony (Shu I think) said (around a year ago) that there will be some setup/intro demos to teach people how to use the headset. I figured that they would be built into the OS but I guess they could be separate, either on-disc or download.

So essentially if you got the bundle like me you have a bunch to play around with and get the feel of.

Psvr worlds
Playroom vr
Demo

Exciting stuff

You also get War Thunder and World War Toons F2P and Futuridium EP VR because it was on PS+ for free :p

PSVR is gonna be good with free content. I don't have to buy games straight away xD

Futuridium was on PS+? How did I miss that?!

Also, I thought the VR Futuridium was a new game rather than a patch, though I do recall the devs mentioning both at some point. All I've heard recently is the new game.
