Let's Talk About PlayStation VR: List of Upcoming Titles

Futuridium was on PS+? How did I miss that?!

Also, I thought the VR Futuridium was a new game rather than a patch, though I do recall the devs mentioning both at some point. All I've heard recently is the new game.

Yes, one of the devs, Skyrise came to this very thread and confirmed there was gonna be two versions of Futurium.

He told us Futurium VR is the sequel to Futuridium EP Deluxe and it would come at a later date, but he also confirmed here (exclusively in the thread maybe?) That Futuridium EP would also get a VR patch day one at launch of PSVR.

That's why I put the links in the OP people, so you can find a source xD

Ah, OK. I should have checked the OP. Message received and understood.

I've just checked the store and it turns out that I did add Futuridium to my library when it was on PS+, but never downloaded it. Panic over.

It might be nothing, but I suggested to Skyrise, given Mixed Bag's liking of old Commodore IPs (Fururidium is an homage to Andy Braybrook's C64 game Uridium) that they might consider remaking Geoff Crammond's The Sentinel and his response was 'So do we ;)'

I would be in heaven with a VR version of that game, and it's a perfect fit for VR.

The teleporting mechanic in the sentinel would work really well in VR, the stylised graphics would translate pretty well, too.

What do you think the likelyhood is for Minecraft VR making it's way onto PSVR? Microsoft haven't blocked the standard game releasing on Sony consoles but looking how well it is still selling, it could be a killer app for PSVR...

About 0% chance, I am sure MS will use Minecraft VR for driving adoption of VR on the Scorpio.

A couple of fixes to make:

  • Add title ShufflePuck Cantina Deluxe VR to developer Agharta Studio.
  • Heading Plant by Gemdrops is not listed in the titles section.
  • Sleepless Soul by wise Inc. should be in the Apps/Support section.

Climax Studios most likely PSVR title is Bandit Six (but they have several VR games).

Coatsink seems to be working on bringing Gang Beasts to PSVR.

Climax Studio is definitely working on Gunsight for VR based on info I've seen and Coatsink will add.

But that's exclusive to Gear VR. From Climax's blog:

Pam Peterson, one of our producers, has kicked off Pocket Gamer’s ‘Virtually Yours’ segment – looking at the first 6 months of 2016 and how VR is faring.

Pam is currently working on Gunsight set to release later this year exclusively on the Samsung Gear VR.

Woohoo, you are the best! Great work! In other news, another game "announced":

Velocity 2X Dev FuturLab's Making a PlayStation VR Game

Well, here's an exciting headline: FuturLab – the Brighton-based outfit behind Velocity, Velocity 2X, Surge, and the agonisingly underrated Coconut Dodge – is busy beavering away on a PlayStation VR game. The title – which won't be ready for launch – was announced at the Develop conference in Brighton this week, with the studio citing its long-running relationship with Sony as one of the motivations behind the project.

The firm's keeping its lips pressed with regards to any specifics about the experience, though it did say on Twitter that it's looking "utterly gorgeous" and that "fans of our work will be delighted".

Awesomeness. Will import or download if not confirmed for US release by launch. :)

Nice that the RE7 demo will get updated for it right away. Interesting, I thought FFXV was going to add it later, though I guess technically October is later than its September launch, but I thought they meant later later when it sounded like they said what they showed was a bit early.

Came here to post this, FuturLab on a PS VR game is a great news :)

Absolutely loved both Velocity games on the Vita, if they manage to build something similarly awesome on PSVR I'll be in like Flynn!!

Great news indeed! PSVR software library is getting better and better.

A very positive preview of Farpoint from someone whose been admittedly critical of PSVR recently.

Oh nice, the controller does actually vibrate, I remember not reading anything about it during E3 coverage. Now I just need to know how expensive that Guntroller™ will be, hope it's bundled with the game for the price of a standard game. I guess it'll be more expensive though as it has built in moves etc., but then it should be supported by many other games to come.

The vibration part was the only interesting bit from that article, was wondering that as well. They probably turned of vibration for E3 to lighten the battery drain for the long hours on the show floor. Good to know it is there, but eventing else Doyle have been plain stupid.

http://uploadvr.com/hands-farpoint-restored-faith-playstation-vr/

This part has me concerned:

I was walking in a straight line for the entirety of the demo, and the demo assistant even told me not to bother turning around to face enemies that slip past me as they’d circle back in front

It sounds like they are trying to hide the PSVRs lack of 360 degree tracking. It's seems foolish that enemies don't attack you from behind, and I wonder if you will be going relatively straight the entire time, so that you never have to turn completely around. Hopefully, this is not the case and they will have some sort of 180 degree turn functionality. I want to shoot things, but I also would like to explore the world some too. That's the real strength of VR in my mind.

But what about the examples of people leaning out of the car door in London Heist and looking backwards? That's the whole point of the LEDs on the back of the head strap isn't it?

I can see why they would have a mechanic which didn't require you to shoot behind you, I think it's primarily a seated game; this isn't room-scale VR.

The PSVR is 360 tracked, the issue will be blocking the tracking balls on the gun if you've turned around. Maybe they've incorporate 90 degree snap turns later on so you can keep facing the camera but head in a different direction.

So apparently adr1ft came out today but according to the press release, they're not bringing it to PSVR? What?!

"ADR1FT is priced at $19.99 and is available via digital download for PlayStation 4. There are no plans to bring ADR1FT to PSVR at this time."

Man that's sad. It went from a must purchase for me to a pass because of this.

I'm kind of surprised about this. Especially since their earlier press release which talked about the release on other VR platforms included this statement:

"ADR1FT stands alone at the intersection of VR technology, innovative gameplay and deeply personal narrative"

Man, what a bummer... As someone who will only have PSVR and was very interested in ADR1FT, I'm pretty disappointed by this. I wonder what the reasoning behind it is? Many games already out on Oculus are already announced for PSVR, I can't imagine porting is an issue is it?

I don't believe them Three One Zero and 505 Games both hace PSVR dev kits and are supporters of PSVR, if Adr1ft isn't PSVR than what are they working on for it?

I think they'll reveal PSVR support closer to launch because what benefit would they have revealing it now.

Fingers crossed. Sure, no benefit now, but if that's the case, then that wording sure wasn't the best choice.

Have a fun! Enjoy!
505 Games has no plans to bring first-person space experience Adrift to PlayStation VR, the publisher has confirmed.

The game debuted on Steam and Oculus Rift back in March and arrived on PS4 today, with many hoping that it would be ported to Sony's headset this October. But that isn't the case, a 505 Games spokesperson confirmed to VideoGamer today, telling us: "There are no plans to bring ADR1FT to PSVR at this time."

http://www.videogamer.com/ps4/adrift/news/no_plans_to_bring_adrift_to_playstation_vr.html

I don't think this game should be on the list until PSVR support is confirmed/announced.
