Let's Talk About PlayStation VR: List of Upcoming Titles

That's about $300 worth of games is it not?

I don't think so? A lot of these are going to be in the 15-20 range I believe. I have about $200 in my PSN wallet and I'll probably add a bit more. If it goes beyond that though, guess I'll have to hold on some of the titles.

edit: Yeah.. I guess it'd add up to around that much.. yikes.. but oh well.. I'll probably get them anyway.

The game is on sale on PSN right now too for like 40% off until the 9th, and the VR update will be free (it's pretty easy to find on the store page, no links here from me.) given all the games that are adding VR 'features' I think it also bears mentioning the the whole game is playable in VR as a dedicated experience. I'm proud of that :)

Any Information if it will be on sale in the EU store anytime soon? I was planning on getting the deluxe pack with all the themes included. Not that the 14€ aren't worth it at a normal price...

That's $119 in Australia. Should be a good bit less in US. But the bundle is still a good deal, especially if you don't have the camera and even more so if you want PS VR Worlds.

Nice!

I'm having a hard time containing my ps vr hype.

I'm going to cry if 4J doesn't add PSVR support to Minecraft. I have spent hundreds of hours building a world there and it would be like my dying wish to see it in VR right now.

Actually, considering the game already gives me a heart attack when I fall unexpectedly as it is (I play on survival mode, and you can really zone out when building things for hours. That sudden fall is REAL, lol) I think an unexpected fall in VR would actually do me in. God, I can't wait.

Nice work!

Can you talk about the pros and cons of implementing VR support with PSVR? I'd love to see a thread or article on it - what worked, what didn't work, how hard it was to hit 90fps, lessons learned.

I'm shocked that it looked that fun. Playing it co-op might get my wife interested into VR.

It made me laugh that the sea monster copied the VR players words, but in a high-pitched voice: "I just want to see the world burn, Dave!"
Impressive that it was copying the mouth movements as well. The weakest seemed to be the western-themed one.

Good to see the Wipeout track in the background of the menu screen. I'm inferring a Wipeout Fury VR remaster; I know it's a bit of a leap, but there is still hope!

Will the Nav controller be supported for games that use that new gun accessory? Because I still have my Sharpshooter.

AFAIK there is no indication that the nav controller is supported by PSVR. PS4 supports it, but no PSVR games do.

The new VR Aim Controller doesn't use plugged in Move controllers like the sharpshooter, it's a standalone controller. The big difference is that the new Aim controller has dual analogue sticks.

Not completely on topic, but I thought you might be interested, it looks like investors have high expectations for PSVR.

Analysts are optimistic. Goldman Sachs Group Inc. estimates Sony will sell at least 1.5 million headsets this year, well ahead of its primary competitors despite starting months behind. Next year, Sony is projected to hit 3 million devices, three times as many as HTC's Vive and six times Facebook’s Oculus. The analysts cite “attractive pricing vs. peers and also the availability of various exclusive content” as reasons for Sony’s anticipated edge.

...

“Sony’s DNA and strength should not be underestimated,” said Thomas Husson, an analyst at Forrester Research. “They’re well positioned to capitalize on the trend.”

When asked about how long the headset can stay competitive against newer products expected from rivals, Yoshida says PSVR is “future proof” and the design allows developers to keep squeezing more out of the system for years to come. He also dismisses speculation Sony will release a more powerful headset next year.

Heres some new Farpoint gameplay, looking good: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LptGSEnbERY

Yeah, liking the look of this.

I wonder if it's going to come with the Aim controller or separate or both options.

Looks so good.

That would be cool, the game looks neat.

That's unfortunate (for me). Was hoping not to have to spend anything on controllers as I have all the old Move bits and pieces.

They sold me on SuperHyperCube.

I like that retro style and due to psvr being not that good for photorealistic games I think that Tron neon like look like Battlezone fits it perfectly

Dr. Richard Marks of Sony Magic Labs has now confirmed to VRFocus the Navigation controller will be officially supported by PlayStation VR, but won’t be tracked in anyway. As the controller doesn’t feature any motion tracking, SCE will probably encourage developers towards the PlayStation Move controllers as they will benefit the immersion of users using the virtual reality (VR) headset.
https://www.vrfocus.com/2015/11/playstation-move-navigation-controller-will-support-psvr/

Technically it is supported but I doubt we'll see it being used.

pretty low I'd say.. at least until someone makes some drivers for PS VR support on pc.

Pretty much. Almost no one would want to develop compatibility for an expensive accessory to an expensive accessory on a console. Hence my comment about PC drivers.

There is this.....

That's just for showings though, no? I don't think it's going to be available commercially?

What game was this used on too? Could be a fun way to work out for sure. But I'm probably better off hitting the gym or the pool.

Its available commercially includes 5 games with it, costs same as a PSVR headset at Gamestop and Amazon

Anyone know if I can plug my Pulse Elites into the PSVR and get 3D positional audio? Or will I need a new headset?

I imagine most standard connector headphones should work fine, and even then the headset itself comes with a set of headphones as well.

Can you use move controllers from the ps3 on the ps4 VR or is it new tech ie have to rebuy?
Thanks.

Yup, same controllers. You'll need the new PS4 Camera though, the old PS3 one won't work.

I've never really been into the modern Call of Duty games, however, I was pretty impressed with the dynamism shown in the E3 demo. This VR mission might just put me over the edge.

Edit: Sangetsu 39 days for me, muhuhaha!
