Do we know yet if it's possible to stream while playing PSVR and include the camera video feed overlay?

Good question. I don't know but I'd guess whatever is being put up on the TV could be streamable, so in social screen view games you'd get the social screen rather than what the player is viewing. Then again I'm guessing.

Interesting question. There was an interview with Ito a while back where he said that they use the Share hardware to encode the social screen feed for games with asymmetric multiplayer. The resulting feed is then sent to the processing unit over USB.

If anything is shareable it would be the social screen. Or it might not work at all.

Games without asymmetric multiplayer might be able to share the headset viewpoint, but I'm not clear on how it would work: the output from the PS4 is the distorted double image for the headset. It's the external processing unit that takes one eye's view, flattens it and sends it to the TV. The Share hardware in the PS4 wouldn't have access to this feed. So although it might be technically feasible, the results might not be that useful.

There is this.....

This reminds me of that one arcade game, with the flying bike, don't remember what it was called.

I'm really excited to get my first taste of 'proper' VR with PSVR. I have a Google Cardboard and that's impressive for what it is. But as a partially blind person, I worry if PSVR will make me not 'see' what all the hype is about :(

I do wear glasses though, so theoretically i should be fine right?

I heard it can differ from one person to another when it comes to sight issues.

Don't get your hopes up too high, but I think it should be a much more improved experience next to cardboard given that it's completely two different images sent to each eye and it gets much more closer to just seeing in real life.

Cardboard doesn't send separate images to each eye? I've used cardboard apps with GearVR and it had separate images for each eye. Regardless, if a user has corrected vision with glasses they should work with PSVR.

I have no idea really.. I think so, but pretty sure it's not as elaborate tech wise as PS VR? I didn't use cardboartd/gear vr though so I may be saying false stuff. But I doubt phones can give that same experience that PS VR does, just from the fact that it's made from a flat screen.

PSVR doesn't use a curved screen. It uses a flat screen like Gear, Cardboard, Rift, Vive etc.

But Google Cardboard just tracks orientation. The PS camera tracks the location of the headset in 3D space so you can move/crouch/lean to get a sense of dimensionality even with one eye.

Is that so? It looked curved to me, but I guess that was just the lenses in front of the screen?

Have there been any rumours about what will be on the demo disc? Last I heard it was meant to be 5 minute slices of games, but I don't know which ones.

My hype levels for Eve and RIGS crashed but are recovering based on recent info. They're not on the day 1 list at the moment; would be good to know if either/both would get a demo. Seems like the kind of things Sony would want shown to friends and family.

Again sorry for asking this but my phone can't handle the first page.

Was in the VR doom thread and just saw the same phrase repeated over and over and over. "No games, just experiences". I know for a fact that when it comes to PSVR at least, this simply isn't true.

Is there a section on page one for "full games"? If not, perhaps there should be.

Yes there is but I added it recently as a new tag category. " $ Full Game Priced VS ¢ Experienced Game Priced"

But that just comparing prices, Full games are based on personal opinion, I think Rez Infinite is a full game but another person may think otherwise even though its priced as a PSN game but has hours of content. It's semantics, just don't listen to the non-believers.

Also, I think I replied to you a texted version of the first page. But here is another texted version with full games only not experiences.

Weird your phone doesn't load it.

I highly suggest not wasting your time anyway with these type of people. Your stress level will thank you. :)

https://blog.eu.playstation.com/2016/09/06/free-demo-disc-with-playstation-vr-at-launch/

Free Demo disc finally detailed, brings eight game trials:

-Driveclub VR
-PS Worlds
-RIGS
-Tumble VR
-Battlezone
-EVE Valkyrie
-Wayward Sky
-Headmaster

Fantastic list. I think I'll keep my Battlezone pre-order, but Driveclub, Eve and RIGS I'll now try before I buy. Interesting to know if Eve and RIGS are online or not. I'd assume that the demos are single-player offline only?

What do to ? I'm thinking about getting one if these two on launch. I just can't decide. I really love horror games like these. But when it comes to gamelength, it seems that paranormal activity VR takes about 2-4 hours. That's a bit short if you ask me. Does anyone know the gamelength of "Here they lie" ?

And is it possible to use the move controllers on both games ?

Thanks.

I suspect Here they Lie will be the better game. They're not going for jump scares, instead they're trying for an increasing sense of horror and dread. Not sure about controls.

I thought I read (or heard on youtube) last night somewhere that Paranormal Activity was going for 10 hours length?

Anyway Here they lie is a full price retail game, Paranormal is supposed to be on the cheaper side.

I'm getting both personally.

I really hope I can manage to play these games though... lol

My Real Arcade (formerly Arcade Platform VR) from 4 Corner Games will be a PlayStation VR exclusive in 2017

I can't find anything about either title beyond the developer tweeting that. Does it have any licensed games? I get the feeling that for $4.99 it's either a bunch of knock-offs, or at best, a starting point for DLC of licensed ones.

Added, also a little synopsis of the game, before it cost $9.99 and was multiplatform:

When Platform Arcade VR (Internal Codename, not reflective of production title) launches next spring, players with an Oculus Rift virtual reality headset or PlayStation®VR headset and compatible hardware will be able to immerse themselves in a digital sphere with classic-style arcade games taking place all around them, guiding them with a compatible gamepad controller while looking around not only at the playable characters or objects and their movements, but also at the entire map, granting players the unique ability to see the entire game field in full spherical form, presenting unparalleled strategy in the featured fast-paced games.

Platform Arcade VR is best experienced seated in a chair that can spin around 360º, and is expected to retail at $9.99

You're saying a lot of ridiculous things (and you're admitting to not having used the product).. Why not ask instead of attempting to inform?

The phone display being flat has no real bearing on whether they match higher end VR experiences (which use flat screens also).

Horsepower limitations, build quality, and zero external tracking are why cardboard setups are so lackluster conparitively.

Ultra cheap optics also come into play, PS VR has much more advanced optical technology to get a better view of the screen. Not just two simple lenses.
