It will never happen because catholic church hates gay marriage lol

Wouldn't be hard at all to find a catholic priest willing to marry a gay couple around here actually. Not that I'd want to get married in a church anyway, or married at all tbh.

Canadians are weird.

They're also really attractive. Walking around Kitsilano and Granville last summer...

Not to mention I have a friend ~ coincidentally, the sexiest guy on the entire planet ~ who's Canadian...

Your excitement for the show is infectious, and so I'll be sure to watch it. At the very least, I want my preexisting, completely irrational dislike of the show to be an informed, preexisting, completely irrational dislike.

I haven't seen you post in the thread in a while. Welcome back.

Thanks!

And Looking was fun….if a little…predictable? I mean, I just felt like I knew where every story was going to go.

And I can't help but make comparisons to the defining gay series of the 2000's, Queer as Folk. I miss the hour-long format there. I miss the larger cast. I miss having ONE badass around, even if he was hateable at times (Brian), I miss some of the camp (Emmett - it feels like Looking is going out of its way to dodge all camp and stereotypes, even though they really are part of the modern gay world, whether we like it or not)….but I do appreciate that there was some focus on Open Relationships, and online dating, two things that have made their way into people's minds much more over the last decade. Going to be interesting.

Also, yay for Jonathan Groff. Infinitely more likeable and relatable than Justin. Oof.

I don't know any of the characters' names yet. Except Groff - I think it was Patrick? People called him Patty. I don't know. lol.

I hate getting sick. Every year I get this seasonal illness that lasts anywhere from 7 days to 3 weeks. My birthday is coming up too. Bleargh.

You guys should watch Space Dandy instead. It's gud.

Because there's no other interesting anime this season.
I'm hearing good things about Noragami and I'm tempted to pick it up if the good impressions keep coming.

Thanks!

Yup, Patrick. And good lord J. Groff. Woof.

Come to think of it, I don't remember any of the other character's names either. (Was Dom the older guy?) All in all,I really like the pilot. I agree some of that stuff was predictable, but I think the episode did a great job of introducing us to the characters and setting up some initially story arcs.

Was also really cool seeing Tanner Cohen as the third in the couple's threesome. Were the World Mine is one of my favorite feel-good gay movies.

The priest could act in a civil position, but the marriage won't be recognized by the church.

Same here, I beat the final boss but there is more to do. How far are you I don't want to spoil anything.

Just talked to Nametame, he isn't the killer, etc. Going to begin the run through his dungeon tonight. Based on events, I'm guessing his is either the final dungeon, or the one before the final dungeon.

You're in for a surprise then he is not the final dungeon

Your manfriend is Canadian? Does he like mustaches? If so, you should worry.

When people call me Patty... >:| Only a select few can get away with that and escape unscathed.
Patty can be super cute though.

literally texted him "I wish you were here". After a while he answered "here where?" I said "Here, with me", to which he replied with a kissing smiley.

I know it's all bullshit but he makes me feel loved because he's really affectionate with me. And I just want to feel loved right now.

This might be the reason why I couldn't left my bf.

You win this round Ratsky!

If nothing else, Looking was certainly better than tonight's episode of Girls.

I didn't think I'd watch it, but Looking is better than I thought it would be at least.

All in all,I really like the pilot.

SEE!? Looking is GayGAF approved! Yasss

That makes three of us. Where's our gay television show HBO?

The pay cable network has put in development Claws, described as a midnight-dark workplace dramedy-noir about a nail salon in Florida and the strange, dangerous women who work there.

:3

To your point about Looking's themes being universal Ratsky, I can't respond to that until I've seen more of the show. I liked what I saw though, even if my original comment about the characters and their lives feeling foreign still holds true.

Fair enough. :)

You guys should watch Space Dandy. It's gud.

I've been meaning to, but I have a big backlog of TV that I'm working my way through. I'll hopefully be able to get to it soon. I'm really Looking forward to it.

welp it was worth a wank (so far) lol

Actually, don't know if i'm alone in this, i usually find gay themed movies much hotter than porn, no idea why

Anyway going to London in a couple of weeks, got a friend who moved there last year so i decided to take a little vacation, hope to meet some nice guys there, been there two times but i never had a chance to feel the gay scene there

Omg I watched Elysium yesterday and holy crap, it is so, so bad. Terrible script, exceptionally cliched villain (one of the most cliched I've seen recently), and a myriad of other things that made me cringe during the 2nd. half of the movie.

I only wanted to check it out because I'm a big fan of Jodie Foster and even her role was a disappointment. :(

I don't get why everyone was against Looking to begin with.
I think whenever something is marketed as being "for" a specific demographic, people immediately get wary. It also doesn't help that this was (mistakenly) pitched as "the gay guys version of Girls," a show that is extremely divisive. And, upon viewing the trailer, the show can come off (visually) as too artsy/indie/Instagram filter-y which can turn people off.

My boyfriend is from the Philippines; comment was referring to a Canadian/native American friend/eternal crush/occasional make-out. I think both of them like mustaches

And yes, Patty is certainly better than some of the ridiculous nicknames I've been given over the years...

We weren't fans either. That and the theme from Family Ties kept popping up in my head every time ludger (?) was in the scene.

Looking was tons better than I thought it would be. Could tell it was from the same guy behind the movie "Weekend". I feel like his style works better with a larger cast because Weekend bored the heck outta me with just the two leads.

They also did a great job at making Groff's character easy to relate to (at least for me). 28 here and only been in one relationship that lasted 5 months (and I totally skim Okcupid at work too haha). Not to mention he's a freakin videogame designer. marryme.gif

AND to my surprise they actually threw in two minorities (asian and spanish dude). Pretty funny considering a lot of people were assuming it'd be another case of the non-existent minority ala "Girls". Apparently someone took their notes.

I got this shirt from a co-worker as my secret santa gift :)
(I had to get it fitted because it was a bit too large, so I didn't wear it until a couple of days ago
at my crush's pre-birthday party :(

Not just the music. . . That fight scene where both Damon and Krueger (that was his name) are on a bridge and there are petals floating by all over the place. . . It was the most ridiculous and bizarre action scene, I swear. xD

You look great wearing that VIC, purple suits you.
