I particularly enjoyed Twtich Plays Pokemon too much but that was mainly because of the memes. I checked that thread at least once every time I logged back into GAF.

As for the "game" itself it was completely unbearable to watch or even to play.

I was the opposite to this, I loved watching it (prior to the introduction of the Democracy/Anarchy system) due to the many issues (the thirty second delay the most significant, those trying to make mistakes on purpose another) which opposed those trying to play but had absolutely no interest in the memes that developed around it except for a vague amusement of them at their most basic level (ie the love of saving, the adoration of the Helix Fossil, and Bird-Jesus' overpowered slaughtering of all which opposed the stream).

I have to admit I never really liked Pokemon though as there was no uptake of it in my school; Yu-Gi-Oh on the otherhand mesmerised me (Forbidden Memories and Duelists of the Roses were pretty enjoyable games too) when I was younger.

Pokemon Yellow is the only game that came close to you playing as Ash.

Because Nintendo absolutely refused to shakeup and/or add to the complexity of the battles to take advantage of the console space. As a result, Colosseum really is just the early handheld games but in 3D and with annoying load times.

A wasted opportunity.

Even back in the GSC days you can't really say the battle system lacked complexity, though. I never played Colosseum but yeah, slower battles suck (like in Gen IV).

I was laid off cause the contract on the place I was working at was cancelled and they couldn't find a place to accommodate me. There was not a single complain and I never been late or missed a day of work. It really sucks cause I was planning to visit my bf on April but due to the circumstances plans are cancelled.
