I'm not sure I'd want them putting effort into remastering the original Earthbound. It's just a virtual console release, a game we never saw over here. I'm fine with playing the NES version and hopefully a new Earthbound game is eventually coming down the pipeline. Releasing Earthbound shows that they are at least listening to their user base and they want these types of games brought over, despite the SNES game completely bombing when it first game out.
Honestly, the Nintendo World Championship stuff going on right now is the opposite of embarrassing. Shows Nintendo knows how to work E3 and do it right, the stuff Microsoft and Sony have been doing lately is pretty embarrassing tbqh.

im not saying they should completely remake the game, ala final fantasy 3 (a good example of a game that was never released outside of japan but got the treatment it deserved when it finally did come out) but like, even a final fantasy 1/2 psp level of effort would have been nice. give us something that doesn't look like complete ass on a high res screen.
plus, like, earthbound/mother is an extremely niche franchise so i figured that the vast majority of people who cared at all about the franchise had already played mother 1 and 3 via fan translations and whatnot (which isn't frowned upon for unreleased games iirc). but i guess there were some desperately holding out hope for 25+ years that nintendo would eventually throw them a bone?
and the fact that this is coming 2 years (!!) after the virtual console release of earthbound 1 is insane. its also only available on the Wii U, which is ridiculous.
Just the random mention of MS and Sony.

Eh, we were talking about E3 and the way the conferences have been these past few years in this GAF chat we have going on right now. Nintendo is on point with the way they've been doing E3 lately compared to the other 2.

Just got back from Pride. I...forgot about the sun and how we don't get along. I feel like I've fulfilled a year's worth of quota of not shunning it.

The english rom released before also had an item that you could obtain and equip at the beginning of the game which made the game bearable, I doubt the official release is going to have that so :v
overall after watching the championship I guess I just don't really like Nintendo as much as I used to, the best parts came from the old Nintendo games they played on the Elimination rounds, not shit like Blast Ball or whatever.
It's almost for 4am here, and I have to share.
I had a terrible night, for a reason that might seem stupid, but what can I do.
I finished work at 1am, got home half an hour later, entered my room and saw a roach standing there. I freaked out and closed the door. I called a friend so he can try and calm me down, when all of a sudden another one appears in the kitchen.
I guess it's common to have a phobia for these things, but I reacted terribly. It was my worse episode yet, maybe because there were 2 of them. My friend agreed to come over, and after some very extensive searching, he found both and killed them. My hero...
I'm still a bit shaken, but I managed to get in bed, and hopefully I'll fall asleep soon.
Again, I know it sounds idiotic, but there's not much I can do

Pretty frustrated tonight. We got the engagement ring back with the stone set, but it's definitely not the size or style she described it would be in our original consultation. I've emailed her about my concern, but idk what, if anything, can be done now. Feels like I spent extra for a bigger diamond (and in turn, extra for a wider band) and the finished ring doesn't reflect that at all. Ugh.

I'm 3 episodes deep into Sense8. Kinda reminds me of Heroes by having lots of protagonists from around the world, but I don't mind so long as they develop them well.
The intro segment has really cool music and it's shot freaking beautifully.
Also is the German guy Wolfie the same, lead blonde actor from the German gay film Freefall? He's so pretty. T_T

There are issues with transitions between animations, there is clipping going on and the stages are as sterile and lifeless as the character personalities who are still wearing 90s looking outfits.

Smash DLC, bought everything! Ryu is great and created a few Miis for Mega Man.exe, Heihachi and Splatoon. Redeemed the 3DS code with the Wii U DLC bundle so, updated and downloaded it.
Then an old friend came over and played some Smash and Splatoon.
The Treehouse pre-show...and Earthbound Beginnings out of nowhere!
The Nintendo World Champions was amazing, and Super Mario Maker was incredible and a great wait to end it.
Then Eathbound Beginnings ready for purchase, bought it.
Then back to Smash.
Can't wait until Tuesday!

So I just befriended this (rather nice looking) guy who wants to get better at SSB for the upcoming national tourney, he spent part of last Saturday playing with my friends and I, and even though I'm always of the mindset of "everyone is straight until strong evidence indicates otherwise", I swear I caught him looking at me and immediately looking at the roof afterwards. But again, these things 99.9% of them time are indeed meaningless and that's what I went with. Well, he added me on Facebook and he "likes" male models and some gay YouTuber brothers :x I don't know, maybe it doesn't mean anything, but it sure would be cool if it turns out I have a non-straight friend now!

Heard some people complaining that the show has too much gay which annoys me to no end. How ridiculous would it sound if I started complaining that literally everything in the world has too much straight? Heaven forbid something caters to circles beyond just the usual.

This is gonna sound pretty mean, but goddamn so many of the guys you see at gaming championships (like League of Legends teams and the guys at the Nintendo World Championships) just all look so.. stereotypical.
