What were your deciding factors on the Xillia games? I like the Tales of series, but I'm still not sure whether I wanna pick those two up or not.

Happy birthday. I turned 30 this year too. It's an unreal feeling. Feels like yesterday that I was 24.

On an unrelated note, anyone here watching Celebrity Big Brother UK vs USA? Austin makes me pretty uncomfortable when he keeps coming on to James, even when it's half-joking.

Congrats! Hope you had a nice day today :D I

My thought process was that since I enjoyed Symphonia and DotNW (for the most part) I should pick them up. Plus they were recommended to me in a thread I made a while ago and I liked what I saw from the gameplay. It'll probably take me a year to finish them both but I hope I don't regret buying them.

Yeah...I'm probably gonna end up picking them up. (I loved Symphonia and Vesperia, but who didn't really.) I give up, my backlog wins.

I think I'm in the same boat. I dunno why, I feel like XV seems to have lost parts of its allure when they detached Nomura from the project. Still gonna give it a proper shot, but these weak trailers that barely show anything aren't helping.

Agreed with XV - as well as the tepid showings it's had recently and the necessary tightening of its scope in order to release before 2018, I'm increasingly getting the feeling that it seems more like a game I'd have been obsessed with around the time of its initial reveal than a concept I can get that excited about now (though the fatigue from being teased on-and-off for a decade probably has some part in that). At least it'll have a great soundtrack.

I'm mostly the same. I'll still drink tempranillo grenache and cabernet sauvignon sometimes; but I prefer shiraz by far.

Another thing is that the game being (apparently) extremely huge on its world it could lead to many tedious sidequests, tons of reused assets and who knows what else. While The Witcher 3 may be great at handling sidequest and deal with a huge open world most of the open world games don't have good side missions and a lot of the content is recycled and bloated for the sake of being a huge world which tends to be barren on a lot of areas.

We'll see what happens tho.

EDIT: Also Star Ocean being 60fps with those battles is just gawddddd

No, I'm absolutely more excited for SO5 than FFXV. Especially after hearing about that map zone bullshit in what's supposed to be an open world.

I love the Star Ocean games and I've been waiting a long time for a new one.

At least you know now instead of 5 dates down the road. Sometimes the realization you arent a match isnt so easily seen. I had a date with a guy a few days ago and we had a lot to talk about and hes cute as a button but hes also a bit more femme than I am usually into. But it doesnt really bother me now like it did when I was younger. Hopefully Date 2 goes well.

happens sometimes. but why do you think you're boring? I hate when you're on a date and you can tell the dude's not into you, doesn't have the balls to tell you, though. you end up with 3 hours of awkward conversations.

I remember a date I had with this really hot guy. Kept talking and I wanted to make sure I was representing myself in the best light. I could tell he wasn't paying attention and so after we finished eating, we went our separate ways. Later, we got to talking again and I asked him about why it didn't work out and he said, "Honestly, I just wanted to fuck."
