Yeah, as you've said, the art direction didn't seem to provide many opportunities for them to be as creative as Pocahontas's Colors of the Wind sequence, an all-powerful genie with shape-shifting abilities, or a octopus sorceress siphoning your voice from your throat.

Your taste is great. I was just thinking about that fantastic "Colors of the Wind" sequence. It's like Fantasia entered one of their musicals for a few minutes.

Speaking of villainous/villainess songs, you've gotta have "Poor Unfortunate Souls" on your list for the campy fun alone, movie or Broadway.

This got me wondering who the original singer was and I found this:

iPhone 6/6s/+ looks so nice in person. I was underwhelmed when they first showed it off but it definitely makes the rest of the older models look dated. I'd still say 4 was the finest job they ever did on outer design, but 6 is clearly the onward and upward replacement it should be. Only SONY phones rival Apple in mobile design imo.

Have you seen the Nexus 6p? It rivals the iphone 6s+ in terms of design... It's much better imo.

(Disgust)

That's why I always ask guys if they want to Amazon Instant Prime Video and Chill.

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Reminds me of when The Little Mermaid came out. Elementary school I was in at the time had an end of the year celebration for some of the lower grades and got to choose a movie to watch as a reward (back when it had recently hit vhs) and all the girls wanted to watch it instead of The Dark Crystal.

looks like a chinese ripoff of iPhone 6 and is branding hell with the words on the back. I'm not surprised I had never seen it before.

At least it has front facing speakers. All phones that don't are irrelevant to me.

Like come on why are front facing speakers so rare.

When are you using phone speakers exactly?

Most people don't need front facing because they only use the speakers in a pinch for longer listening than some snapchat and the ringer. Nobody wants to hear someone watching a Let's Play on their phone anyway

Mermaids are dope. I used to want to be a mer-person so fucking bad.

I love taking pictures in snow, though.

It's so ephemeral, and since it acts as insulation it absorbs all the sound around you. Transient/real yet seemingly unreal, perfectly white flakes, plus the intense solitude of silence, it's fucking beautiful.

So interested in this girl I've known most my life and she seems kinda in to me, and I'm sure she kinda already knows I'm not super straight but I'm just wondering if before I pursue anything with her if it'd be better to be like "I'm also in to dudes a lot but not while I'm with you" or something like that.

The only reason I think she knows is because one time at high school church youth group thing I couldn't find a clean pair of jeans so I was like fuck it and wore my sisters sparkly jeans and the girl in question was like "surprised you had the balls to wear your sisters clothes, that kind of confidence to just be you is kind of hot"

Seems sort of silly that you basically need to say "hey just cause I'm bisexual doesn't mean I cant do monogamy"

Eh, it's not quite that. Ex before the cool Canada ex found out I was bi and was just like "I bet you were sleeping and having fantasies about men while we were together". So I just wasn't sure if it was something you should tell your partner right off the bat or if it's unimportant.

And in Facebook she kinda went crazy and messaged my whole family and was like "your son/brother is a *** and likes buttsex with men" which I thought would be horrible but most of family was just like "duh"

Well it's made by Huawei which is a chinese manufacturer and it's part of the Nexus family line, which are google's line of phones. Every year they get a different manufacturer (or go back to the same one) for their flagship phone. The Nexus 6p feels really amazing. I like it better than the iPhone 6S+

It's not really hard to pronounce Huawai, it's like "wa-way" which means magnificent in mandarin or (cantonese) I forgot which one.

It has a better screen, a really good camera even in lowlight and dual front facing speakers.

If you're an android user, the best android phone right now is the 6p. The only downside to it would be its size.

Also, the 6s+ is manufactured in China :p

Multimedia?

EDIT: I use my phone primarily at home so I guess thats why I get to use speakers a lot.

Yeah me too. I love listening to music on it because it gets really loud.

Ah I see. I mean you could be upfront about being bi. But the way you posted it made it sound so defensive.

Yea, I'm defensive about it. I not super comfortable telling people I know personally for that reason "oh you can't just like me because you like everyone so that makes you a slut..."

It annoys me because I'm always 100% monogamous besides porn which typically doesn't matter because hell you know 90% your bf/gf is going to watch it too

Yeah, what CornBurrito said. I mean, it shouldn't be a secret. If you're romantically involved with someone, I feel like there are a lot of personal things that you end up sharing. This seems like one of the earlier ones, as it's not some deep dark secret. Just don't feel like it's something you need to warn her about.

Maybe some of the bi people in this thread could give you better advice, though, based on how they handled it in their relationships.

This bisexual = will sleep with anyone and can't commit shit needs to stop. However I have heard many girls proclaim that if a bi guy hits on them and has sex with men, they won't sleep with him. So weird.

Mandarin. Cantonese sounds funnier and is not as widespread. Hong Kong and Macau have Cantonese as the official spoken language, but apart from that Taiwan, Singapore and PRC all officially use Mandarin or Standard Chinese as they call it.

It you wanna be fancy the H in Mandarin is kinda harsh. Think German "ach". Apart from that it's surprising similar to American English complete with an "-ar" sound.

I'll be getting a new Android phone in the spring, and while having a Nexus appeals to me (I would prefer to be running pure Android), the screen size is just too much. I kind of max out at 5" before I'm annoyed. However, I also like a phone with good specs, and unfortunately the 5X seems to be treated as their mid-range budget phone. More and more, the bigger screen is being paired with the nicer tech, and it's getting frustrating with my buying habits.

Can't compete with the D.

But it is weird. We had some thread on GAF and some dudes were saying if they were with a bi person they wouldn't consider it cheating if they slept with the same sex. Which just boggles my mind.

When I first got my 6p it felt huge compared to my Moto E which is 4.5 inch screen phone. One handed mode use with the moto e is awesome, but the 5.7 inch 6p just felt insane and difficult to use. Eventually I just got used to it.

I would say you should go to any store and look at the iphone 6s+ and that's pretty much how big and thin the 6p is.

I would say that you can get used to the size, and the extra screen real state really makes it for it in my opinion.

Gotta second this. I was seriously worried about the sheer size of the thing, but it's only a perk after getting accustomed to it. Kind of annoying to not be able to slip it in my pocket all the time, but more than makes up for it with functionality.

Wait so people are saying like if I had a girlfriend I could have sex with a guy because I'm a guy? Pretty sure that's still cheating because if I had a bi girlfriend pretty sure I'd be devastated if I walked in on her with a girl

Along with the assumption that bisexuality and monogamy are incompatible, that pervasive notion that bi men are just gay and in denial might play a role there.

What in the fuck???

I guess it's like a more restrictive form of an open relationship. I could never do something like that.

i just had this really interesting dream and looked online for interpretations and it all seemed to fit together. Weird. Do any of you ever think that dreams can actually mean or symbolize things?

I'm letting my facial hair grow out at the moment, and I feel pretty good about it. Not sure if I'll keep it, but I think it's pretty legit. Anyone here have thoughts about their own (potential for) facial hair? Any people who can't grow facial hair but would like to? In relationship to the trans* community, I sometimes see the growth of facial hair celebrated as a milestone for ftm people, so I guess it has some cultural significance. I've found that it's making me think a lot about masculinity and femininity and my relation to both.

All my friends are in college/university and far away from me. I feel so alone :(.

:( Maybe it's time to build a network of friends closer to you? Or talk to your friends about visiting them? In the meantime, while you figure that out, that's what we're here for!

i just had this really interesting dream and looked online for interpretations and it all seemed to fit together. Weird. Do any of you ever think that dreams can actually mean or symbolize things?

Yes and no. I can have stressful dreams when I'm stressed out, so sometimes they make me realize how much various factors in my life are affecting me. I've had some pretty literal dreams that are easy to interpret. I've also had some really strange dreams, one of which I looked up. What I found online made complete sense to me, but given that often sources can disagree on what things mean, I think it was more a case of the dream being a kind of Rorschach test. By offering me a bunch of weird symbols that I was trying to find meaning within, what was subconsciously bothering me was able to surface through something else "telling" me it (via my subconscious interpretation).

EDIT: Catching up on some old quotes I meant to do...

Used to when I was younger but not any more. There are so many different ways your mind can interpret and repackage something during a dream that a book written by someone else completely unaware of your life experiences won't reflect that. There may be similarities in the values we place on common cultural perceptions that we attach almost universal meaning to, but dream interpretation is largely manifested and symbolic in ways only you'd know (and I mean that in more pragmatic psychological interpretations, not mystical ones).

Personally, I'd categorize it with astrology.

Do try lucid dreaming, though, it's fun.

Mine is decent, though it takes forever to grow and it only does in the mustache/chin area - the sides of my face can still only manage medium sized wisps. I wish I could grow a proper beard, and it makes me kind of feel bad that I can't, but what can you do? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

by MILO YIANNOPOULOS 11 Dec 2015

Anyway, because I am a queer, and given my natural instinct for mischief and visceral loathing for political correctness, I am perhaps the only person in public life who can address a horrible linguistic injustice visited upon us all by the finger-wagging progressive Left, to which my attention has been drawn by my colleague, John Nolte.

I speak, of course, of the theft of all the best cuss words in popular culture, and in particular “queer,” “faggot” and “gay,” which have been stolen from common usage by grievance-mongers and robbed of their most obvious and clearly superior meanings.

Faggot is my favourite of the three, obviously. I use it when disobeying the diktats of the hand-wringing gay establishment when they scold me for mocking lezzers. “They’re just confused lonely old man-haters,” I’ll say. “You’re an offensive, self-loathing homosexual,” they respond. To which I reply: “I might like dick, but you people are faggots.” Nothing annoys them quite like dramatic rhetorical escalation, because they are used to bullying others into silence with meaningless words like “homophobic.”

“Homophobic” is a meaningless word not only because everyone loves and sucks up to and mollycoddles gays these days but because a phobia is an irrational fear, whereas my local basketball team is entirely right to be wary when they see me emptying a small vial of clear liquid into their half-time orange juice.

I like faggot because my fellow butt pirates have insisted on “reclaiming” the word queer to make it inoffensive–the slimy, preening bastards. I also like faggot because it’s the go-to slur used by image boards, where identity politics is considered quite literally worse than AIDS. Which of course it is: what’s not to love about all that attention and weight loss?

It’s my hope in kicking off this campaign that other minorities will shortly follow suit. I will be reaching out to blacks, trannies and cripples (it’s fine, they told me I could say that) to suggest similar public statements of endorsement.
If there is any residual resentment directed at gays these days, it’s not ordinary fags people don’t like. It’s the schoolmarmish bullies of GLAAD and Stonewall and the gay establishment. Frankly, listening to their dreary pronouncements on “cis privilege” makes me want to put on a wifebeater, rent a pick-up truck and beat the living daylights out of the village twink.

But I won’t, because, you know, that would be gay.

I'm not sure if I could really manage a beard without a lot of maintenance and awkward transitory phases either - I'm prone to those pathetic, patchy wisps as well. I used to think it'd sort itself out eventually, but it's likely I'm just cursed by my genes. Especially since it's just my facial hair that's so laughably underdeveloped.

This guy is something else.

It's his niche. I'm happy there's at least one independent thinker to bear the light of reason against politically correct totalitarianism.

It's Milo. He makes Ann "I don't know if poverty causes crime" Coulter look reasonable.

Link to quote. I should warn you that it's from Bill Maher's show, but the topic is thankfully not alternative medicine or political correctness.

I saw that thread title and thought 'no one would actually think that, right?' and I couldn't get past the first page without a headache. It felt like most of them didn't even consider two women having sex to be 'real' sex so it didn't count. But that was a while ago so I may be misremembering.

Also that article is some vile shit piled into some Slightly more vile shit.
