It sounds like it's still worth a shot for me. Cars 2 shall remain the only Pixar film I didn't see. I'm glad my expectations are low, though.

I know exactly the kind of music you're talking about. A gay arc in a soap opera used a similar sound and my first thought was, "This is so Brokeback. It has to be intentional." I like that style, though, so I'll look forward to that (and think the exact same thing).

Okay but The Good Dinosaur got good reviews which is what I usually let convince me to see something and not a couple of "I heard" comments or "I saw it and it sucked" exaggerations tbh. Word of mouth aint that cool to me

I don't think anyone here has tried to coerce anyone else otherwise. I went in blind having only watched the trailer just before heading to the theater. Rotten Tomatoes was down, so my expectations weren't influenced by any critical reception.

Guy who works at patisserie I started going to who I read as queer seemed to ask me if I 'work at the bar'. Which doesn't make sense as there isn't some bar that makes sense in context. He repeated himself and so I said where I work.

Now I worry if I misheard and he asked if after work I'd like to go to a bar? It didn't sound like that. Mistaken identity?

Next time you see him, ask him about it: "Hey, last time I was here you mentioned a bar, I think asking if I worked there. I'm curious about exploring new spots. Is there a specific bar you were talking about?" He'll likely either follow it up with A) "That wasn't what I asked at all" and explain (so you'll get your clarification) or with B) telling you about the bar he had in mind. If he frequents there and likes it, maybe the conversation can be steered towards you saying, "Well, if I were to go there some time, would I see you?" as a signal of interest in potential future socialization outside of work (I'm assuming you might be interested in this person).

Thanks for the suggestion, it is a good way of doing it so I'll apply this type of advice to other situations. With this situation though I'll probably just keep on going and if I had misheard and he wants to do stuff maybe he'll try again.

Talking about it helped get rid of the stress of thinking I made a faux pas.

So guys funny thing happened to me today. So I was walking alone in JCPenny as my family went off to do something else, when all of a sudden I'm approached by a guy who works there. Looks about maybe early 20s, dark hair,glasses and fit. Basically he was super handsome. I figured he was going to ask if I needed help but he seemed to hesitate for a second before asking me about my leg. At that point I knew he saw how I walked with a limp and wondered about it.

So I told him about the drive by and all that and he said he's a christian and he was compelled to pray for me. I go sure whatever and he grabbed my hand and held it as he prayed and asked me if i had a lot of pain in it. We held hands until the very end of the convo we had until he left to go back to work. I told him thank you afterwards and he smiled and it got kinda awk for a moment then he went back to work.

Later on I see him in the store and we see each other. He shoots me a smile and I smile back and find my family.

So yeah fun times and I find out we are going back to the same place tomorrow.

I don't think they're good enough to be obligatory viewing. But people of my generation that have never seen the classic Simpsons episodes? Sure, we can shun them.

Focus by Ariana Grande is fun. She seems like she is thee perfect version of mainstream American pop now. Like that music that isn't too edgy for middle America but is playful and hot enough to get attention all over. I'm not into her donut up incident, but I think her music is pretty much the central example for pop sound. Not as good as Break Free for me, but good.

The chorus is awful , the progression is sad and no she simply shows how half assed her songs are and needing features to carry her ass.

It's unlikely that it's better than the Simpsons, if we're talking about cultural touchstones that are both widely popular and good.

I saw a bit of one of the movies in an English class. It wasn't bad but it didn't really set my world on fire, either.

Also Focus is terrible. The good Ariana Grande songs are: All of My Love, Love Me Harder, and those Cashmere Cat ones. That's it tbh.

She has improved her vocals and enunciation issues but the material needs to be better.she has lot of potential to be great but at the moment her material is not anywhere near greatness. Now let me not turn this into PopGAF. (Welcome to discuss there ;) )

My only experience with Star Wars is the prequels since my dad forced me to go see them when I was growing up. People always think I'm weird when I say that I have no interest in Star Wars.

I can't listen to the original version because the chorus is awful. I have to listen to the no male vocals version. Ariana Grande has this thing where I love the first single she puts out for her album and then I listen to the rest of the songs and I hate all of them. Which sucks because I feel like shes got tons of potential, but shes succeeding at what shes doing so good on her I guess.
