I'm not going. It looks exhausting. I don't have the patience for these events where people fly in from all over the globe to attend.
We have some neat gay-themed parties that go on in Chicago, one of which is called Men's Room (kinda nsfw), and Resident Advisor did a whole feature article about them and the gay techno scene. If you're into music and also queer culture I would definitely give it a read.
Stuff like the White Party, Men's Room, and purple party sound really cool, and I wish I had a chance to experience them, but I feel like being in a monogamous relationship could limit the way you experience stuff like that, since so much of it is about openly displaying affection towards others (to put it lightly, maybe, lol). I've encouraged a few of my friends to go to the Men's Room parties here in Chicago but I'm not sure they'll do it.
