I've been playing a lot of adventure games this month, including a few from my backlog. This month, I finished The Book of Unwritten Tales, The Book of Unwritten Tales: The Critter Chronicles and Puzzle Agent 2. And I am currently playing Broken Sword 1. Not backlog, but I also finished King's Quest: Chapter 3 yesterday when it released, and I am playing The Book of Unwritten Tales 2.

I have a thread each month about setting a goal to finish three games that month, backlog or otherwise. Maybe you would be interested in taking part.

One of my best friends came out to me as Trans today. (Was always a straight cis guy as far as we all knew through the years.) Super excited for him, and kinda goes to show you really never know what anybody could be quietly battling or figuring out internally. So I guess it's always best to carry yourself in a manner that shows you'll be there as support regardless what they might have going on.

It's been a while since I've played the game so some of this may be slightly inaccurate.

AC Syndicate spoilers:
Pretty late in the game, Jacob gets an invitation to a meeting the leader of a rival gang. This guy, Roth, was previously working with the templars, but the relationship has soured. He wants Jacob and his gang's assistance to remove them from London. So you spend several missions with him disrupting the templar activities around the city. (It's worth noting that this is the only sequence in the game where you only play as one of the twins, which gave it some importance to me) Roth himself is kind of an unhinged dandy. He runs his gang from a theater, there are some allusions to an ex-boyfriend, and he refers to Jacob as darling and "my dear".

Towards the end of this chapter, Jacob realizes Roth is willing to go to very extreme levels to achieve his goals and their allegiance ends. Naturally, Roth plans to continue with extreme acts and Jacob is forced to kill him. Just before he dies, he reaches up and kisses Jacob.

To me, it did come off as Jacob realizing he might be bi; he liked the attention he was getting from Roth and seemed very betrayed by the end. He's also kind of flirty with everyone that isn't his sister. I just wish they did more with all of it.

On one hand, word of God confirming is good. But then... Sorry, but most of the spoilered sounds like nothing but teasing. They could've done a lot more with it. I guess it's subjective, it's better than nothing, but I dunno. I hardly see it as something that needs heralding (I dunno if people have been heralding, just saying). Though considering the lack of bisexuality I think being counted as a positive is still good.

Also, does anyone else get weirded out when someone on grindr sends you pics of them banging someone else? I mean, it's one thing if you're actively making the decision to trade videos or whatever, but I could never see a part of my "baseline" pic-trading lineup consisting of doing stuff with other people. Half the time I don't even know which one you are in the picture!

I tried to watch Spy with Melissa McCarthy and couldnt finish it. I felt like her movies are SNL skits stretched out to fill 2 hours. Theres just not enough comedy to sustain my interest. Her killing a guy, vomiting on him and then dropping a knife into his chest was hilarious. That was 20 minutes into the movie. It was downhill from there.

I also couldnt finish Fant4stic. I turned it off right when it should have getting interesting (trip to the negative zone), but I hated all the characters. I just didnt care what happened because I knew these people would never be the Fantastic Four. What a terrible adaptation.

Redbox failed me.

Yeah, I never found Melissa funny at all. The best part of Bridesmaids was that blonde woman who said she cracked a semen encrusted blanket in half.

Oh, and when Kristen Wiig punched that giant cookie. That was hilarious.

Yeah, while I appreciate it, I'm disappointed that they do so little with it. There's also a trans character (who has an interesting background in the codex) who they do basically nothing with in game. Still, playing the game and picking up on a vibe, then getting confirmation that one of the protagonists in a major game franchise is bi was a pretty cool thing.

I like Melissa McCarthy. I don't care if she has a "shtick." Plenty of men have "shticks" but I never see such a huge backlash over them always playing the same role because, surprise!, people enjoy seeing them repeatedly that way.

Oh, well, my guess would be that you could do it just via WiFi. I can't think of any reason why you'd need cell service. Also, considering that both the iPod Touch and iPad are sold in WiFi-only variants, I would think a developer wouldn't want to only sell to cell network customers.

It would figure that I would get the absolute worst group ever for one of my college classes, and I have a low A in the class so I could easily get a B. Thanks fuckers.

Especially this one dumbass who's contributed NOTHING to the entire group. A strong part of me wishes to exclude his name from the cover letter and presentation lmao

Does the project have team member evaluations at the end? I typically am very nice on my evaluations and overlook minor problems, but if someone were literally contributing nothing, I'd report that (I'd probably talk with the team member before and explain what I'd do if they continued).

Tomorrow is the presentation and paper due, and no, for this class there is no group member eval. The professor had it set up as you could "fire" a team member, but it's too late for that now. He didn't do shit for anything thus far, but I didn't say anything. I honestly should have fired myself from the group and done the whole project myself, I've done 80% of it myself anyway

Ok. I got up to pee. Went to the kitchen after to get a glass of water. The blinds were open by the sink. As I'm filling the glass I just look at the new house they built behind mine. I swear to god. There was a guy. Naked. Pleasuring himself. And I swear I heard someone say "I think he saw". It just weirded me out so I turned off the light and went back to my room. I kind of want to double check but there's no discreet way for me to do it. So I'm creeped out and scared. I don't even feel like jerking off and porn. Which was my plan. Lol 😲😲😲
