Ok. I got up to pee. Went to the kitchen after to get a glass of water. The blinds were open by the sink. As I'm filling the glass I just look at the new house they built behind mine. I swear to god. There was a guy. Naked. Pleasuring himself. And I swear I heard someone say "I think he saw". It just weirded me out so I turned off the light and went back to my room. I kind of want to double check but there's no discreet way for me to do it. So I'm creeped out and scared. I don't even feel like jerking off and porn. Which was my plan. Lol 😲😲😲

I get the creeped out but why scared? What do you think he's going to do?

Hello there, LGBTQIA+ GAF.

Over the course of the last few months (or years? can't remember), I slowly realized and accepted my non-heterosexuality. Well, now that I think back, I probably have known it since a very long time, but didn't want to admit it. But never mind that! I've grown up.

I'm still not quite sure about which terms to use to describe myself, though, so I wanted to ask in here to avoid misunderstandings.
First off, my sex/gender? That's easy: cis-male. No doubts about that. As for my orientation, however: I am attracted to both man and women, which is why I used to call me "bisexual". After educating myself on the gender spectrum and related notions, I stopped using that term and went with "pansexual" instead. Because the gender of others doesn't really matter to me. If I like someone's character, and their body, what does it matter how they identify as? It's not important to me. So, reading the definition of pansexuality yet another time, it seems to be the appropriate word to use indeed.
But what about preferences? I'm not equally attracted to everyone: I prefer feminity, in terms of physiology. But then again, being able to feel attraction to anyone doesn't mean being equally attracted to everyone, right?

And then there's "queer". An umbrella term for the entire LGBTQIA community? Applicable, obviously.

So I guess I'm a queer pansexual, am I not?

Welcome. :)

Yes, being able to feel attraction to anyone [=any gender] doesn't mean equal attraction.

The pansexual label fits you, the bisexual label would also fit as many bisexuals reject the idea it means an attraction to people of no more than two genders. I know some people who identify as both pan and bi (as in, each person identifies as both). It's up to you if you identify as one or the other or both or neither.

In terms of "queer pansexual", I would say that "queer" is redundant there unless you have a specific attachment to the queer label.

I took bisexual to mean "attracted to each half of the spectrum of genders" rather than just one half, which ends up encompassing anyone anywhere on the spectrum, not binary or otherwise.

That's what I always took pansexual to mean, though.
They mean the same thing to me. I don't think the word bisexual gives commentary as to gender attractions within the sexes. it just sounds like the clinical term that encompasses the human sexes and makes no comment on the gender expression.

imo, bisexuality can be as limiting or as freeing as you personally want it to be

my own bisexuality doesn't preclude me from being attracted to/falling in love with people outside our gender binary.

Alright then, sounds like it doesn't really matter what I use.

Friday's here. What do you guys have planned for the weekend? Got work and hmwrk, but my friend is trying to drag me to the Renaissance Fair.

Also congrats DOWN.

^^ go to the Renaissance Fair man. I've always felt they can be mildly entertaining and cute ;) Particularly if the weather is nice!

If the asphalt isn't wet me and two friends are going out skating at noon tomorrow, hoping for good weather! :D Psyched, haven't skated since last summer. Then at 1600 I hope me and a friend are gonna do some acrobatics training/hanging out. I'll be working on my backflips (!) and some other stuff, maybe juggling?, maybe teach him some dance stuff.

And in Sweden it's also VALBORG! So prbobably some grilling after that, maybe go see a traditional bonfire and then swing by a party and have some beers.

History of Valborg

Historically Valborg is derived from the Viking fertility celebrations that took place around April 30th, where the arrival of spring was celebrated with bonfires at night. The actual purpose of the fires was to scare off witches and evil spirits. A practical use for the bonfires was also to scare off predators such as foxes before the livestock were let out to graze on May 1st. In the Middle Ages, the pagan Spring ritual became associated with Saint Walpurga who was declared a saint during this time of the year.

Today, however, Swedes tend to look at this holiday as a chance to welcome Spring and light evenings back after a long winter. And there is certainly a point to that!

Especially for me as I recently moved to the northern parts of Sweden. Spring is slowly arriving and light is back in my life. Depression fading away.

Looking forward to it actually. One of the better weekend plans in awhile. Sunday is for studying, creating some ballet exercises and general practice at piano/yoga/choreography etc.

And congratulations DOWN!

Nice i want to get back into skating, havent done it in a long time.

Im not really doing anything probably just homework and chilling probably going to continue my second play through of bloodborne.

Doing this thing tonight called Critical Mass, where a ton of bicyclists from all over the city meet up in one area of downtown, and then just ride out, taking over city streets as we go! I think today's ride is about 15 miles. It'll be my first one of 2016! I'm glad the weather doesn't suck so bad.

Having a little date night and then going to do laser tag/whirleyball with my girl and some friends of ours tomorrow!

I've always took "bisexual" to mean "attracted to people within the confines of the (a) gender binary".
A basic reading of the word, coined by medical professionals a century ago, suggests that is the case. But like every other word, the meaning changes over time. The definitions that most bi activists use is an attraction to more than one gender.

Robyn Ochs:
Dictionary definitions of bisexuality that rely on an idea of “both sexes” are inadequate. As human beings, we live and love in a world that is far more complicated than these narrow ideas allow. Our attractions do not stay within tidy borders, and our understanding of bisexuality must adapt to this. Every one of us must make sense of our own experiences and assign to them our own meaning.

Here’s my current definition of bisexuality. “I call myself bisexual because I acknowledge in myself the potential to be attracted, romantically and/or sexually, to people of more than one sex, not necessarily at the same time, not necessarily in the same way, and not necessarily to the same degree.”
http://biresource.net/whatis.shtml

Others define it as an attraction to people of the same (homo literally) and different genders (hetero literally), not two men and women.

Pansexuality is more specific as bisexuals can also be attracted only within a binary. It also uses a different strategy in avoiding the binary definition by using a different word instead of changing the meaning. There are other differences too and bisexuality doesn't need to be more narrowly defined for pansexuality to be a valid thing, which I sometimes see people do.

For some reason I've decided I want to try and do Twitch streaming? Lots of stuff I have to do to my room to prepare for that. RIP wallet for the rest of this year.

Been doing Keto for a few weeks to see how it works for me and already lost 14 lbs. I know some of that is water but I'm pretty happy about that. I havent been craving sweets or super carby foods either after cutting them. I feel pretty good about that.

Congrats Delio! I wish I had the willpower to do Keto. I'd love to drop 14 lbs before June. Keep at it!

Spending the rest of my Saturday walking three different dogs for out of town friends, looking for apartments, applying for jobs in LA, and eating Korean leftovers from last night

Got a new car! A Hyundai Veloster Turbo, fully loaded. Such a beautiful car, and quite fast. 201hp! Haven't taken pics of it yet because of the rain, but these are pics from the dealer that they took of my car. Had a lot of fun driving it around yesterday, been looking for excuses to drive it. lol
