I've tried a number of different app pics (just my face, tank top, shirtless), but none of them get a better response than a pic of my arm flexing in a tight polo. Real disappointed in gays tbh.

You're black right? I was reading this really depressing informal study on tumblr where this black guy used a picture of his fit white friend (headless torso) and for every person who messaged him he would say "Thank god you aren't some dirty *n word*." And I think only one person called him out? Like literally everyone else didn't even bat an eyelash. It was so disgusting my god.

I generally experience a tiny bit of racism in my travels on grindr. I think it's because so many guys are into Middle Eastern guys (I'm not though, I'm indian. It even says so on my profile and yet...) but honestly white gays are so dense sometimes.

I am black. I even mentioned upthread about a guy i messaged who replied "sorry no blacks". When I called him on it, he doubled down on it being a "preference". When I pressed him on it he said "fine, black dicks look like fallen tree branches" (LOL). Then I replied "if you're thinking about what color a dick is when you're getting fucked, you're probably not getting fucked right"

Yep, that's about what I'd expect. Gay culture has similar issues to femisim in being more inclusive of minorities. You'd think the experience of being discriminated against for being gay/woman would be transferable, but some people are that dense.

edit 2: Five hours. Called them again. They're closed. Those fucking bastards are closed. I won't have any warm water the entire weekend. I'm gonna have my first day at my new job on Monday and I can't fucking shower.

I'm about to lose my shit.

Well, this little saga of mine has finally come to an end.
On Monday, I called them again early in the morning. A different guy picked up the phone, so I had to explain everything again. He told me they'd call back later. They fucking didn't. Later in the afternoon, when I realized that it was already fifteen minutes past their closing time, I called again in the hopes that someone might still be in the office. Someone indeed picked up the phone, but it was yet another guy. Had to explain their fuck up a third time. They promised me to send me someone the next day in the early morning. I was getting slightly pissed when he was late, as I obviously didn't want to be late on the second day of my new job, but he fixed it within two minutes, so I was still on time.
Finally warm water again... Christ. What a frustrating experience.


Time for something positive, for a change. Yesterday, I watched Cloud Atlas for the first time.

I'm sort of confused as to what the huge difference is between "shirtless photo" and "flexing in a tight polo" that people responding to the latter is disappointing.

A shirtless photo has my entire face and most of my body in it. I specifically said "my arm flexing in a tight polo", meaning that it only contains a picture of my arm flexing in a tight polo.

To break it down:

Entire face and most of my body gets less of a response than a picture of just my arm flexing in a tight polo.

I think i can relate maybe but let me just say I've noticed a trend with nonwhite gays that say they experience racism. These guys tend to want only white guys and no one else, so if a white guy rejects them they get upset but they would never date other nonwhite guys.

What is worse non-white gays who only date white guys and no one else or white gays who only date white gays and no one else.

Personally most of guys Ive messaged mostly wanted white guys, thus was my life, until i went to japan for vacation and my phone blew up with many guys hitting me up. Even now some of them view my jackd profile.
Yes i am planning on moving to Japan.

So JCX you might want to travel to a different state or country you might meet people who are into you.

I'm pretty sure this problem is pervasive across the globe. You may have had a good experience in Japan, but telling him to move to another state isn't the most thoughtful advice.

In other news, a mega hottie wants to meet me tomorrow, but he's so out of my league. He's like an Abercrombie model or something. He must be really damaged to want to meet me.
