I'd like to try XIV too since there's a Steam demo, but I've never played a MMO and it doesn't seem like the game stands out because of its combat.

I want a bf that watches the same TV shows I watch or at least tolerates them enough to watch with me and plays videogames with me even if he may have a bit of bad taste at times like enjoying Bethesda buggy games and Ubisoft lazy yearly games for example. I think there is nothing odd wanting someone to have similar interests and its quite common from what Ive seen around. Of course you are not looking for a twin and you want them to have their own set of differences to bring interesting conversations or discover things you haven't checked.

This sounds pretty reasonable, some similar interests don't hurt but you're not looking for a twin either and get enough individuality where it keeps things interesting for a lasting relationship.

It will either make it or break it for you. I played the game for a nice amount of time and I loved everything else BUT the combat.

The combat doesn't seem all that interesting until you reach end-game, and the synergy between roles begins to take hold. The combat is more about reacting to changing circumstances in the battlefield and working with your teammates than anything else. The single-player is essentially training wheels where you get familiar with a few skills, then you play a few four player dungeons, learn more mechanics, then you get into eight player parties, and eventually you hit level 50 and end-game starts.

This is all earlier content, as there's some really crazy stuff in the current expansion. I'm pretty excited for what's upcoming.

LMAO. I only have 248 hours on it. Doesnt go anywhere near my Phantasy Star Online addiction on the Gamecube days. That must have around 1k hours at least with all the characters Ive done.

It was my first impact with an MMO

I was in awe, guilds, dungeons, people going rogue and killing low levels

I remember i spent an entire day trying to fight of a bunch of rogues that were blocking the exit to the first town you entered, i remember feeling so holy and everything, telling newcomers to switch channel, escorting them to other areas

I feel bad just thinking about it

I actually think i stopped after my old 5850 died, thank you for your sacrifice dead gpu

Great choices so far! I own Tabletop Simulator and GTA V, and will buy HLD when it gets a tad cheaper -- it looks incredible. As for Overcooked, I just don't have friends that play games like that. =/

How much do you have left in your budget? I could recommend things from all kinds of ranges.
