Uh, well I'm assuming and hoping so, yes.

Well, you never know. Just want to be sure its not encapsulated to one episode. Just trying to get an idea of how many paths there might be over the whole game considering how many things can give a consequence and impact the future.
I mean, trying to throw away the weed in Chloe's room if successful would have given 8 paths to do right there instead of 4 paths.

I'm trying to remember the decisions I made...I didn't tell the principal, I signed the petition, I didn't make fun of victoria or mess up the photos, I did pick up the pregnancy test but I reverted that, I did open the cabinet and drop the file but I reverted those as well and I confronted chloes stepdad

I think you are probably overestimating how much branching there will be. Some decisions are going have some slightly different dialogue. Or like watering the plant will just keep it alive at the end of the season.
Ahaha, it absolutely is pretty hipster. I wouldn't call it pretentious, but it definitely knows its audience and who it's trying to appeal to. It's catered to that audience specifically so I can see why someone who doesn't like that general vibe wouldn't like the game at all.

4 decisions...looks like there could have been space for 5
Hm, you're probably right. I guess a lot of decisions won't affect things as greatly I had imagined. I'm just naturally curious about all the different outcomes or changes. Maybe after all the episodes, we'll have details about which choices did what. Like, if they actually let us know what watering the plant affected or did not affect. I'm being way too analytical of it. I think I'll force myself to just take one path I like and not try to do them all.
You can't. It seemed like it might do something though. You can interact but Max will think to herself that she can toss it but not get rid of the smell. So its guaranteed for the scene. In that post, a better wording for me to have used would be "if it were possible"

So, what is GAF's opinion of this game so far? I was super pumped, but then after watching the first 20 minutes of the GiantBomb quick look (with the protagonist in a photography class), the plot and dialogue just seemed really juvenile and a bit corny/cringey.

This is a really weird question. If i make a choice to look at something but rewind it, will my character remember later in the game? For example
Will Max remember that I saw that even though i rewinded? Sorry if this was worded strange.
i opened up the file and saw the spying done by khloe's stepdad,but rewinded because i was worried i made the wrong decision..
Yes, you will remember everything after you rewind. One of the central mechanics really.

game is awesome. i feel like i've been waiting for this game to exist and release for at least 10 years. i'm always like, "can't a game just be about life, how about some teenager going to school huh" and here it is (with supernatural... eventually a realistic game will exist about characters and it won't be supernatural, eventually[edit: oh wait gone home was good])
have not finished the ep but i adore the narration. some stellar dialogue writing going on as well, especially if you rewind an action and then look again at an object. Max will be aware of this rewind and it is sometimes reflected in her tone.

Since the gun is missing from the douche's cabinet...was it the guy in the bathroom, Nathan(?), who picked up the gun or is there some other clown out there with a gun...douche is all about "security" but his surveillance cabinet, and gun cabinet are there for the taking. At least he put a password on his computer(I think it's his license plate whenever you do get to type it in). The guy could be a good guy...surveillance could be to capture the activities of the principal...but then again maybe not.
Oh, damn. Yeah, that would have been handy with her dick dad.
From the last three/four pages I've read, we're in unison about it being anywhere from great to amazing. It is hipster/indie sundance movie-ish and some of the lines are definitely corny, but they're not frequent or jarring enough to ruin the game for me. They do get annoying for a brief scene with another character. Other than that, it's solid. Juno is a good comparison.
chloe stole it. you might only find this out if you take the blame for the weed.

Its Chloe who took the gun. When hiding from Chloe's dad, come out to intervene and she'll thank Max for taking the heat and show her the gun she stole.

I couldn't find a place to hide...tried the closet and then the bed and time was running out so he barged in...I didn't go that route. Pretty cool that a decision as minor as that told you a whole different part of the story than what I got. Lots of different answers above...I did take the blame for the weed but didn't have a place to hide...I don't remember her telling me she has the gun...maybe she did. Eh.
To hide, you need to move the lamp before going into the closet. You get two other routes inside the closet if you get in before the step dad comes in. I'm pretty sure you see the gun only if you hide in the closet successfully and then step out willingly to help out.

It's funny.
I was walking around and saw the club poster for the fiction club and they mentioned Terry Brooks, and I was like, "I LOVE Terry Brooks!" And then Max mentioned that she loved FF The Spirits Within, and I was like, "I LOVE The Spirits Within!" I love Dontnod.

I'm pretty sure it only has one base game you launch and then you select the episode from the menu.
Game of thrones on Ps4 seems to be similar, the icon on the screen doesn't mention any episode and when you load it there is a menu for each episode.

They weren't explicit one way or another. At worst it's just mentioned that he had a camera. I imagine this is the reason why we don't (IIRC) see a surveillance camera in Chloe's room, so it's not a double whammy to that degree.

Goddammit, I finished the first ep yesterday and I already find myself yearning for the next one! I'm definitely hooked. Thank you Dontnod, I already liked Remember Me, but this is going to be something special.

Just finished the first episode. Really enjoyed it. The only thing that bugged me was the lip syncing, which was terrible.
Not entirely.
In one of the major choices you can choose not to make fun of her (after you splashed paint on her) and she is actually kinda nice then. I am pretty sure we will find out a reason why she behaves the way she does.

I comforted her without even trying the other thing and would like to make friends with her. But she is doing some despicable things to the point where it doesn't matter what freudian excuse she has. Cheating with another girls boyfriend, trying to put the blame on that girls best friends, bullying another girl, don't let Max in just because, talking bad about her pose - she isn't a good person as of now.
