Doubt we would get another handheld from Sony
Futuridium may 9 2000+ 2000 copies.
I mean 2000 copies for ps4 and 2000 for ps vita.
Are there any differences between both versions?.
Doubt we would get another handheld from Sony
I love the Vita. I adore it.Doubt we would get another handheld from Sony
You can buy PS4 + Vita version, but unless they bend the rules for some people, no, you can't buy 2 copies yourself. Make your cousin buy it himself/herself.My cousin is a huge fan of Rainbow Moon. Hopefully I'm allowed 2 copies.
New trophy set even!
Those focus on localizing. And as niche as they are, they are actually trying to make products that at least a decent number of people can buy instead of these Scalpers' Dream Releases that sell out in seconds and go up on eBay minutes after. Super limited releases are sometimes viewed a bit differently by publishers from products that are meant for a wider market. If a small startup company actually can pull this off, older pubs like gaijinworks are definetly sleeping on their jobs.

"Physical @LimitedRunGames Editions of Lost Sea, Rainbow Moon & Söldner-X 2 Coming Soon!"
We would love to go after things like,
The Atelier series (there are a bunch that never got physical!)
Yakuza 5
Fatal Frame
Phoenix Wright
Attack On Titan
So yeah let us know if you'd legit buy these titles.
So the response is pretty clear. We're going to try and move forward with the partner we're talking to. It's an expensive deal but we're going to try and make it work. If we pull this off the door will be wide open for other partners.

Gaijinworks actually localizes games though. Localization + publishing is definitely a lot more work than just publishing.
So we need to ask....
The whole thing about us going after bigger games like Fatal Frame, Yakuza, etc, is that they wouldn't be part of the LRG line. We would just be paying to be the sole distributor basically. We would have to charge more than our normal price. For example Yakuza 5 would be $45-$60 and we would have to order at least 5,000 copies, but in some cases for other games we would order up to 10,000, maybe more.
So what we want to know is, would you honestly pay that price? We don't want people to think if we get a huge game that we can magically make the price $24.99-$30. We would have to buy these games at bulk from the publisher. BUT it would mean that a physical copy would actually exist and we would have access to even more titles in the future if this did well.
So just take a moment to digest that. We have a chance right now to do something similar with a game for Vita but the price would have to be $44.99. But we would gain access to more titles in that series and possibly other series from them.
So the response is pretty clear. We're going to try and move forward with the partner we're talking to. It's an expensive deal but we're going to try and make it work. If we pull this off the door will be wide open for other partners.
We got to try Lost Sea at PSX, I think a lot of people will be surprised at how much fun it is.
We are glad everyone is excited for the line up though!
I was thinking also what about pc games? Undertale deserves a retail release without doubt.
I think that was one of the Kickstarter rewards.
Yeah, I know that. I just think that they should branch out, since LE making and publishing is their strong point. Focusing in localizing old, subpar games isn't working out for them IMO. I am truly grateful for all the work Vic done for all this years, but for a long time (I think since Growlanser Generations) I didn't buy any single game from him.
No, you don't want physical prints of already published games getting continuously delayed. Let him localize his games, at least we get something digitally somehow near the estimate dates he mentions when he's selling the games.
Haven't seen any retail copy anywhere, also it's a incredibly known game and many more people would like to buy it.Undertale was also an example, there are more games on pc that deserve a retail release(I prefer much more playing on console but many games are pc exclusive)
I kinda do, really. I know that you are mad that SN5 took some months to come out, but things like Sillouette Mirage and Arc Collection took several years to come out, and in the meantime we only had printed ads on Gamepro and VGM to rely on. Delays is what Vic is all about.
The main reason why it didn't have a retail release (outside of it being an indie release, which those rarely see any kind of retail space) is because PC retail is basically non existent now unless it's the biggest of AAA games, which even then it's largely just codes or a fraction of the game on the disc. PC collecting has largely moved elsewhere because there's very little to collect now other than custom kickstarter boxes or LEs. PC discs now are about equivalent to a one time use frisbee and most boxes outside of what I mentioned above, are far from the eye catching boxes we had 10 or more years ago.
So...

Bought Söldner-X 2 Vita in the last Flash Sale for a couple of bucks and I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality. Really solid game and I look forward to double dipping.
Wanted to try Rainbow Moon but I was put off by the supposedly very long length of the game but I'll add it to the backlog. A bit torn on Lost Sea since I play my PS4 less than my Vita.
