List of PS5 Pro enhanced games

I wouldn’t have minded a little bit more of a bump in the cpu department but it is what it is. Moving forward, the pro will distinguish itself a bit more from the base model.

This game needs to be enhanced

How do we put pressure on Fromsoft to fix this mess of a game? It's unacceptable that even with the Pro, now it turns out DRS in performance mode is broken. It shouldn't be now reaching upper bounds of resolution while failing to maintain steady framerate.

For a company that had so much success from Elden Ring you'd think they'd at least want their fans to get a stable experience. Total bullshit. It's the one big stain on the company for me.

Currently playing Motorfest. They said there was a PS5 Pro exclusive performance mode but in fact there are no modes to select from at all. I think it's just locking to this "exclusive" mode by default and removing choice away from the player.

Can't say I'm noticing any real improvement in the visual quality either.

DF tested 6800 in this game and it's almost locked 60 in quality settings. But it can't be compared directly.

Other than this scene where it's 60 anyway on Pro ^

Tbh I bet it's a problem with the port and how it runs on PS hardware. There's no reason bloodborne should have shitty frame pacing on the ps5 and yet here we are. I wish i could shake fromsoft until they paid more attention to the technical aspects of their games.

Their engine is trash, we all know that. Just like dark sould 3 on PS5 only way for 60fps is brute force, but pro is too weak for that.

I wonder if it's actually something stupid like a cpu bottleneck due to draw calls, that'd be funny af

Oliver from DF said that it was one of the most noticeable improvements to image quality for the games he played during his press preview event. Are you sure the patch is available yet? Does it match with the footage Digital Foundry has posted.

IQ is really hard to judge without a side by side. The game was already rock solid performance wise. There is nothing that screams "this is now running on PS5 Pro". Shadows are still very flickery.

Dragons Dogma 2 looks and runs great on the Pro. Playing with RT on, Motion Blur off and PSSR set to "Balanced". Just did a very heavy effects fight against a dragon, half a dozen NPCs and shit going off everywhere and it was consistently hitting 55+. With VRR on its very smooth. Very impressed DD2.

Diablo 4 next.

Did Diablo 4 get Pro patch or are you testing pre-Pro patch?

Kind of worth noting for some, Bloodborne upgrade isn't limited to the slightly better image, for some bizarre reason its framepacing issues are 99% solved when playing on Pro.

It's still 30fps obviously, but it looks to be now proper 30fps vast majority of the time.

Edit:

Not the case unfortunately, just another instance of incorrect informations sourced from that channel:

Pro redeemed.

It only took PS4 -> PS4 Pro -> PS5 -> PS5 Pro to bruteforce their POS engine.

Apparently its been "enhanced for PS5 Pro".

After 10 minutes I am not 100% sure I'm noticing an IQ difference although it's been some time since I've booted this game up. Looks the same as before but likely slightly sharper.

There is still a "prioritise graphics" option in the settings but this still caps the game to 30fps, even on Pro.

When in performance mode, the framerate is now uncapped, I seem to be getting between 60 and 75fps in the new expansion area.

Unsure if the uncapped framerate is part of this new PS5 Pro enhancement or of this has been in the game for sometime.

So far it looks like I remember it. Unless Blizzard specify how they've "enhanced" the game I think this is a bit weak.

Interesting, thanks.

The last patch unlocked the FPS on base PS5 as well, that's not Pro-specific.

In that case then I'm going to assume that they may have added PSSR support although in my opinion D4 already looked great previously, so to me it just still looks good. Performance was never an issue with this one. I am guessing that none of the features in the "Priotise Graphics" mode make it over to PS5 Pro, such as RT, enhanced shadows etx. This just seems to be the base game, as is, with PSSR support.

fps issues were fixed with ps4pro boost mode

the framepacing issues are still present even on the ps5pro , looking at various videos of bloodborne on ps5pro the performance and framepacing looks similar to the ps4pro version i played in boost mode.
But there's a detailed frame pacing comparison in the video I linked, difference is night and day between PS5 and PS5 Pro.
Game's performance, despite still being 30fps, looks unquestionably improved on the latest machine, and unless PS5 ran the game worse than PS4 Pro, for the first time it's actually proper 30fps or at least much closer to it than before.

framepacing issues were overblown tbh , the real culprit was the sub 30 fps drops on base ps4
game needs to be played by more people

It has bad framepacing on both:

Yes, 5% at best of the time it happens on PS5, as clearly demonstrated by the video.

Not sure what this post was meant to convey in addition to what was posted already:

Aside for providing yet another amusing intervention of yours in Threads related to this machine.

Dead Rising 2 is listed as Pro Enhanced. Did anybody else catch that?
Lol yeah i see it on the store page for Pro games but on its individual store page there's no Ps5 pro enhanced tag ...this game having a Pro patch doesn't make sense ...it would be the only PS4 game with a patch and of all games ...why Dead Rising 2? My guess is this was mistakenly put there. Perhaps Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster was meant to be on there instead ...that game doesn't have any PS5 Pro tag on its store page but couple weeks back people were apparently looking at screen shots of it with RT reflections

Lol. You said it fixed frame pacing where it clearly is not the case.

It performs the same since PS4 Pro.

What to see here? Video is very far from 1:1 sync.

I mean it's such a minor, inoffensive thing that could interest a handful of people at most, and yet you're here arguing about it. It looks improved, frame pacing is much less of an issue in all of those instances shown and compared, should be straightforward but no, apparently.
You need some rest I'd say, and it's been a busy day for you afterall.

And you keep taking grabs of those instances of shared frame pacing issues nobody denied were there, for some reason.

You are seeing things that aren't there.

1. Video is not 1:1
2. WHY would PS4 game with broken frame limiter suddenly perform better after already having the same broken performance on PS4 Pro and PS5?

So thinking logically: there is no reason for it to perform better. Also, isn't this site banned source?

You notice anything Oliver talk about in the DF review video regarding to RT issue? It seems to distract him alot since he keep mention it since the hand on previews.

Also, did you try the graphics mode with or without RT on? How the frame rate outside in these modes?
