List of PS5 Pro enhanced games

So Control on PS5 has an unlocked resolution according to the OP, but how often did it drop down anyway? Can't say I've noticed any difference to be honest.

I'm beyond frustrated at this point, I wanted to play Silent Hill 2 and Lego Horizon with PS5 Pro updates and nothing, same with Black Ops 6, three games I was positive would be supported at launch or via patch shortly after and nothing. The Lego Horizon one is just unbelievable, it launched after Pro is out and it's a first party studio game lacking the support for their latest hardware, what are you doing Sony!

I never would have imagined that their shiny new $750 (With stand and taxes) console would not be supported by their latest in house games, just utter disbelief.

Isn't it just crazy? I can't believe the way they're going about "supporting" this console. People are mad at me here for bringing it up over and over but our only hope of getting things changed is to kick up a fuss online and hope other people get riled up too. It starts with complaining and eventually trickles out to the media then hopefully Sony.

I'd actually blame the devs more than Sony. I think they're just not ready yet to deploy their Pro patches.

I was playing The Last of Us Part II on the PS5 Pro connected my 32" 4K OLED today. It's night and day better looking than the original PS5/Slim model, especially since you can switch between the Performance Mode (what I was using before), and the Pro Performance Mode to see the obvious differences. SO much higher resolution. That said, there is DEFINITELY some pixel crawl at times, which I'm assuming is the PSSR in action. In any case, that aside, this does feel like a significant image quality improvement. It's not even close.

i spent an hour today dm'ing and leaving a comment on every social media post created by Studio Gobo, Guerrilla and Sony over IG, X and PS Blog commenting asking about Pro patch whether its even in the works, there is zero fucking communication. I hope they can see that there is interest and people are not happy. I just cannot believe i paid 700 bucks for a pro ps5 and its back to 30fps fidelity on this lego game and silent hill 2. The crazy thing is every single game i expected to play is either broken currently or entirely missing a patch. The Lego game is especially a true mind fuck, how can they release a sony published game without a pro patch after its already on market, how in the world do you expect 3rd party devs to release updates when your own internal projects dont give two shits about supporting it. This is their first product and i own everything they made that i am super regretful about.

STOP UPDATING OLD PS4 AND PS5 GAMES, SUPPORT THE NEW GAMES THAT JUST RELEASED, EVERYONE HAD DEV KITS FOR MONTHS.

I have to scout neogaf, resetera and reddit to get any info on ps5 pro support, its just unbelievable.

Lego Horizon Adventures looks insane at 4K fidelity and I am dying to play it after the intro but I know this shit will run at 60 or 120fps in weeks or months and once again I will be playing the worst version at launch. We are always fucked when we play games day one at launch for full price. You are almost always better off getting them on sale after 2-3 months with performance updates.

I have supported Playstation and love the brand but lately they are just lost and arrogant again with xbox brand losing steam.

I bought a PS5 Pro and now I am fucking waiting for patches so I can enjoy the games I expected to support it day one, utter disbelief.

Someone reported it’s running at 120fps on Reddit and I swear it’s looking and running better to me load times are better and the image seems sharper to me. It’s not patched but the AI scaling might be working since it had an uncapped frame rate: again I’m not a graphics whore technical guy so I really don’t know but I was very underwhelmed with it visually at launch and haven’t played it much since.
How is the input lag for the ps5 pro? Is it better?

The First Descendant Update 1.1.6
Graphic Mode Quality Improvements
- There has been an improvement in overall resolutions in each mode and through PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution(PSSR).
Improved Ray-Tracing Options Provided
- Ray-tracing function’s resolution has been improved compared to PS5.
- In PS5 Pro, Ray-Tracing is available even in the Performance priority mode. Activated Ray-Tracing functions for each mode are:
ㄴ Resolution/Balance priority: Ray-traced shadow, Ray-traced reflection on translucency surface, Ray-traced reflection on opaque surface, Ray-traced AO, Ray-traced radiance cache
ㄴ Performance priority: Ray-traced reflection on translucency surface, Ray-traced AO, Ray-traced radiance cache
AMD Frame Generation Resolution Improvement
- Through applying Frame Generation based on PSSR, we now provide better resolution.

These are comparison images for Performance Mode (Frame Generation + VRR/120Hz).

The first descendant is really interesting game for testing.

Apparently, it goes from PSSR to FSR when turn on frame-gen. the frame-gen implementation is much better than the ps5.

Interesting. So they are still using PSSR with frame-gen according to this?

It looks like we are having a bunch of bad patches at launch, that sucks. Im of the opinion Sony should be way more strict with 3rd party devs on launch day, they should pay them/help them more if it means better support.
Can't wait for every game moving forward coming with Pro support day one.

Don’t think Sony has much of a say in this. All devs have to do is make sure their games run on the Pro. Sony can’t tighten the leash without pissing them off and they wouldn’t anyway.

They shouldn’t hand those Pro Enhanced badges so freely though. Some games have them when the patch isn’t even live.

Not a Pro enhanced game obviously but :
What about Ghostwire Tokyo ?
The game has about 8 (eight) graphical settings ffs plus 2 other when you turn 120Hz off from the PS5 menu...

The best one is "quality" since it outputs at a higher res + RT but... it's 30fps locked so no can't do.
"Performance" removes the RT so no can't do.
Which leaves us with :
- HFR quality (unlocked) + RT
- HFR quality (V-synced) + RT
- HFR performance (unlocked)
- HFR performance (V-synced)

What would be the best option as to play at 60fps with RT enabled ?
The HFR quality (unlocked) or the V-synced one ?
Unfortunately, iirc, both of those modes drop the res. To 1080p.

Don't know what disabling 120Hz does.

Any ideas gents ? Game's pretty with RT on btw - maybe not the best looking games out there but it can look preeetty good most of the time - shame then about that weird FSR pixel crawling , this would be a prime candidate for a Pro patch G'dammit...
Thought I would check this out myself and yea what a mess. Personally I think I'm going with HFR Quality (unlocked) as the V Sync options have terrible input lag for me. Don't have a 120Hz TV so not sure how that affects anything but this mode feels the smoothest to me. Also tried Immortals of Aveum and can't run both V Sync and Frame Gen or it has terrible input lag as well.
