I can't believe he managed to swap to the truck so fast under the overpass, regardless of how it happened. This is nuts.

That truck's not handling the high speeds too well; you can see it wobble and buck, from time to time.

Edit: CBS Chopper down to 25 mins fuel

With all this lane changing I'm surprised it seems like the CA police never drop the ground pursuit. My friend is a cop here in MPLS and he says they will regularly just stop chasing people if there is too much traffic or pedestrians around.

Is that the HOV lane, or whatever it's called? The one for car pool or emergency vehicles?

Pretty typical for many areas if the potential to cause casualties is too high with the public.

Chopper over head doesn't stop though.

Not that this guy deserves to get away, but that was a hell of an attempt to get away, and amazing that LAPD could keep the chase going. Kudos.

I left for work right as the two people were on the ground/getting searched and assumed it was over.

What the hell have I missed?

You have to wonder how people still think they can outrun a chopper and the radio.

I know it just seems like with every CA chase I see they never drop pursuit.
It's usually when it's very high speed and in residential areas. On the highways like this it's very uncommon unless they're doing 100mph+
