Lol, well I'm at my office right now which is about 2 miles away from the scene. We got some very well-armed and trigger-happy (and racist) cops 'round these parts. If you remember that Christopher Dorner incident, the Torrance cops rammed and then shot up some random surfer dude's car because it looked like Dorner's (he ended up getting $1.8 mil in the lawsuit).
we totally saw that play out. as soon as he got into this area they got really aggressive, whereas this was a mostly peaceful pursuit for 2 hours before.

This guy's taking too long. I get waiting until the heat from the chase has cooled down, but he's running the risk of the officers getting agitated or impatient.

He's been pretty easygoing the whole time so far. I think he knew he wasn't getting away, but he was determined to have a nice time and delay it as long as possible. Beach cruisin' with the window down, waving to pedestrians. At this point his goal definitely isn't a way out.
I imagine he's just hanging out with the AC on, maybe the radio. Probably called a buddy to chat about how he's got the whole police force staring at him outside. Writing his last post in the BOTW thread. Making the most of his remaining moments of freedom.

There's a large chance a bullet will too though.
lol. They're police officers, not game wardens.
Besides I don't think tranq rifles are powerful enough to penetrate glass.

this has had a lot of variety as far as chases go.
failed spike strips. civilian interference x 3. botched PITs. reverse pursuit.
i've always wanted to do that reverse-180°-peel out turn.

It's an upper-middle class area though, so yes the cops are very well-funded.
