Guys, I keep telling you this again, and again and agai...ah fuck it what the fucking hell...GAF gonna be GAF.

Im sorry, really really sorry but if you wanna blame anybody for NBC's bad first day - you gonna have to Blame ESPN and CBS.

WHY?

Because the IOC went to CBS and they told them to bid, but that fucking asswipe Moonves stated NO. Even though they and Turner would have been much more successful with the games.

Then we have the Curious Case of ESPN. Disney outright TOLD the IOC that they wanted to be the NUMBER ONE SPONCER WORLD WIDE for the games. They were willing to pay 1.4 BILLION for the games up to 2018. But the IOC wanted the rights to 2020. ESPN would have done the same thing as they did in Wimby and the Open Tournament - tape delay the fuck out of it. Worse than NBC has done it. And would have raised their cable tax to a point where the whole cable industry would have melted into oblivion.

Fox didnt have the tools, nor the network man power to do it.

So its NBC and Comcast who are the only people left to do it. And this is the way its going to be for the next 3 summer and 2 winter games. Because nobody from the other networks have the balls.

So your compaining does nothing. Your whining does nothing. You want to throw eggs, Do it at Moonves's house, not Costas's. Go blame Disney than Comcast. All this complaining is a fucking joke, because you all read what they going to do and if you didnt your just a part of the damn problem with Sports TV right now. You pay and pay so the fuck much but you dont even know what the fuck your watching, who is behind the deals and why the fuck they do what they do. Its a joke.
What point are you trying to make? NBC is paying $4.4 billion for the games up to 2020.
Which means NBC would have paid 3.3 Billion for 2018. Quite a bit more than Disney's 1.4 Billion bid.

The first scenario before the industrial thing was really good looking. But boring. Then the forging thing and the torch were the only good parts. And that's pretty much it for me. Expected more. :\

It's funny how you guys act like you care about the Olympics, but in reality you're just trying to act trendy.

WTF is this post. Seriously.

I cannot fucking stand watching NBC. I've got like 2-3 other options here in Canada. So I'll flip between channels but as soon as NBC isn't showing an event, I'm going to another station.

Yeah watching some BBC streams of the same events I already watched and sooo much nicer. I mean...the coverage of the events themselves + commentary are about the same but just being able to see whole events....... so good.

How many slots do teams get in each sport? Like how come USA had two guys in the same swimming race, etc? Do all countries get two guys?

Women's Archery
Women's Road Race
Women's Synchronised 3m Springboard
Men's Individual Sabre
Women's 10m Air Pistol
Women's Skeet
Women's 400m Freestyle
Men's 4x100m Freestyle Relay
Women's 100m Butterfly
Men's 100m Breaststroke

thnx. I'm surprised there are less medals to be given out today than yesterday.

Only 2 less. I think there are a couple of Bronze games (finals taking place another day) going on, too.

According to this there are 2 more awarded today.
http://www.nbcolympics.com/results-schedules/calendar.html

But the ones listed to be awarded Saturday don't match up with:
http://www.nbcolympics.com/medals/index.html

Edit: Wait, It matches up here with the extended list
http://www.london2012.com/medals/medal-count/
http://www.nbcolympics.com/medals/2012-standings/index.html

So there's 2 more than yesterday going to be awarded tomorrow.

Yeah, you're right. I just skimmed through the day's schedule on london2012.com.

I missed the 2 Judos and they don't seem to indicate that the weightlifting finals are going on.

Finally got a chance to sit down and watch Kerri and Misty do their thing. I love watching those two girls play. Magic on that sand I tell you. Magic.

Do all the athletes stay in the Olympic Village or do some of them stay at hotels? Seems crazy to think some table tennis player would be in the same place as Lebron James and Kobe Bryant.

Lol why?

Being a basketball superstar doesn't mean you're better than other athletes.

On COX I have all the channels that would show any coverage all bundled at the bottom of my HD list.

NBC, telemundo, NBC sports, msnnb, cnbc, bravo, NBC soccer and NBC basketbal

Still prefer watching streams with no commentary.

They needed to put More of the sports on USA Network. Fuck the Brand (WWE) right now. There Over the fuck loaded on the main network.
