Lets not forget that women (by virtue of lovely jubblies) get to have almost a full swimsuit by default. They may not be neoprene, but there's still a fair bit they can do with them (the new non banned generation of polyurethane suits are supposed to be pretty good).
I fully support them wearing the same outfits at the men though. EQUALITY NOW!

the equestrian is boring as fuck, but we're good at it so I watched it
and judo has always been something that competitors always said UK Sport underfunded, but we provided shitloads of funding and nothing changed. Atheletes too often use underfunding as a scapegoat and that happened in the past with Judo. We put the money in and nothing changed.

Yeah it's true, there's a lot of technology involved in swimming, even if they banned those swimsuits, they are still developing new ones, so you never know. It's not like the athletics where it's rare to see a record breaking.

Yeah Meadows, it's great to see someone fired up and passionate. But the stroppiness after each disappointment is getting old.
It's just some sport, a bit of fun. Don't lose sight of that!

also I'm thinking about taking up handball. I want to go to the 2016 olympics as an athlete and I think it's my best chance. Salford have a handball club I think so maybe I'm good enough to play for that and qualify.

I wonder how much that is to do with the historically British interest in university rowing rivalries.
Would love to see a little bit of that US-style popularity of high school/college sports rub off on us in the UK - rather than just idolising these guys every 4 years or so.

Good luck buddy, though I'm not sure if thats the right attitude for someone who'll have to train for 4 years.
Also British Girl is playing what looks to be a competitive badminton match right now.
It should be called kayaking. The name is confusing and makes it sound boring. Though it is for being done on man-made courses.
Canoing and kayaking both use the same boat/shell/kayak/canoe/whatever you want to call it, the difference is in the paddle type.
