So far I only have XBMC installed, and it's pretty nice.

Is there an internet browser available?

Also, it's become a pretty annoying hassle for me to hook my Xbox up to my PC everytime I want to transfer files or delete something off the HD. Is there a general "file manager" type program that will allow me to delete stuff without having to do it through FTP? I would also like to be able to copy files from a CD/DVD directly to the hard drive.

What is the software DVD player that will do multi-region playback for my PAL discs?

Download links (or just names, if http downloads are unavailable) would be appreciated.

www.xbox-scene.com

more granular:

Be wary about copying games directly frome the game disc to your xbox hard drive. I tried it with Morrowind and a lot of hte content just "disappeared", probably due to the data getting read incorrectly.

I thought most modchips took care of this natively?

I don't want to copy games over to the hard drive, I just want to copy files from discs with MP3s or video files on them.

Keep in mind that the xbox drive does not (reliably) read CD-Rs

Well if I'm just using a disc to transport files, I am gonna use a CD-RW or DVD-RW..

Which dashboard are you using? I know Avalaunch has a built in file manager. Unless I'm mistaken, I believe you can copy stuff from discs to the hd through it.

:rock do you keep it updated? Update it with some karaokae software.

Bochs is a decent internet browser. Definitely the best solution outside of wiring a keyboard/mouse to your xbox and running Linux or using Linux to use a windows emu to run something like FireFox or Internet Explorer.

Avalaunch, DVD2Xbox, and there are PLENTY other file managers.

Have you updated XBMC?

Downloads of such software = illegal and piracy and stuff.

I'm running EvoX (with a software mod), and I'm not looking to switch to any of those other BIOSes at the moment. Is Avalaunch just an app or is it actually a new BIOS?

XBMC doesn't seem to be working for playing DVDs off the disc. I can load up the VOB, but I don't get any picture and the audio skips. I would like a full-featured player that actually lets me sort through menus and stuff.

Linksboks is the Web browser. Sorry, I got the names confused

Sounds like you're looking for DVD-X2 Donglefree DVD player. Get that

Avalaunch is a dash, just like Evox. Think of them like different versions of Windows. Your BIOS is loaded BEFORE it executes any programs. Just like your computer, it loads the BIOS and then the programs the BIOS is instructed to run afterwards.

I have the 11-02 XBMC on mine. I read that you can put OSX on there by way of Linux. XBMC is the greatest thing on my Xbox however

Just use a better dash with a FM built-in. There's no reason not to.

Soft DVD:
