Thats basically what happened any time Blizzard consulted top raiding guilds about feedback.Thats stupid for multiple reasons, one of them being the fact that they have over a thousand hours in "souls" game meaning their critical analysis will be biased/flawed. People obsessed with specific genres will be massively ignorant to its issues.
Bingo. Miyazaki himself doesnt play his own fucking games and for good reason. Soulslikes arent being bought by only the hardcore fans, in fact the majority are always going to be newcomers, casuals, etc.Thats basically what happened any time Blizzard consulted top raiding guilds about feedback.
They dont need to be innovative, they are exploring a genre, not creating one .... and with From moving away from classic souls for that godawful openworld dogshit elden ring formula.. all they have to do is to provide a refined classic souls experience and they will set thenselfs apart.. and btw lords of the fallen was already innovative enough for the genre with the "dark world" mechanic.oooooooooo souls veterans
i'm so curious to see what sort of innovative game LotF2 will become now
Also, make the art direction less busy, there is too much shit happening on the screen at the same time.Just get rid of the double realm and make a stronger main realm instead.
Meh.
As if we need yet another decent but not amazing Souls clone.
Lies of P shat all over their previous attempts.

Well, if you followed development of the first game, you'd know that they cater to casuals and newcomers quite a bit. There are a ton of settings to make the game easier, or harder, that most Souls type games don't have. You also don't need consultants for casual players, they're literally the easiest people to develop for.Bingo. Miyazaki himself doesnt play his own fucking games and for good reason. What do you mean? Silent Hill F is perfect in every way, shape and form and there is literally nothing wrong with the story, combat and game design. /sPeople obsessed with specific genres will be massively ignorant to its issues.
I know it was the game main feature but i just personally don't care much for it.But that was his whole thing, one layer on top of the other man.
Not only it was impressive technically wise but also gave the game a different kind of depth compared to other games out there,Clear is spot on in saying that it was Soul Reaver-ish in its design.
Take that out and it becomes yet another run of the mill clone (which it already kind of is).
For me personally, after the 1.5 update, it was one the best Souls-likes out there, great atmosphere, fantastic visuals and - gasp - great art direction, and the fact that it wasn't hard as nails as - say - Lies of P, made it even better as you could concentrate on the exploration part.
I don't give a shit what anyone says. But I have a massive soft spot for Dark Souls 2. I really like it a lot, but if you ask me why exactly, then I can't answer that but DS2 is the one I replay the most. Same with Silent Hill 4.Hopefully veterans enough to understand that dark souls 2 is the best one.

I prefer "souls cultists.""souls veterans" is such a whack label lmao.
AFAIK, they mentioned that PS was their lead platform in sales.Epic Game Store exclusive on PC, lol.
Bye, dead game.
For me it is the alure of adventure, freedom in tackling areas, and amount of great builds in Dark Souls II that keeps me coming back. The great mods for it help too.I don't give a shit what anyone says. But I have a massive soft spot for Dark Souls 2. Going for Elden Ring scope based on promotional footage (despite mainstream fatigue) and the stated Epic exclusivity are surely a double whammy and recipe for disaster.Epic Game Store exclusive on PC, lol.
