I played it a couple of months ago and had a good time with it.
Exploration and boss fights are not as good as From Software, but it's still fun to play.
Also, the graphics are very good.

Great game, really enjoyed it. Played it after 1.10. Good stuff. Closer to Dark Souls 3 than any game I've played. At first the lamp mechanics were a little offputting but once I got in the groove I greatly enjoyed them. Excellent game actually.

I played this game at release and I didnt like it because there were so many enemies between bosses. It was exhausting. I heard they fixed it at some point, I might go back one day

To all of those asking if it's any good now :
The game has been good since patch 1.7.

Terrific atmosphere
Great graphics
Great weapon feel (this got also patched)
Good enemy variety and density (also patched)
Great exploration
Fantastic art direction

This - and for the 20€ that it costs nowadays - is one of the best Souls-likes out there, personally, I enjoyed it way more than Wukong and Lies of P (and especially when compared to the shit-tastic Khazan).

It's almost DS4

Thought it was pretty decent at launch and post launch support has been meaty indeed.
Definitely the closest thing we've gotten to a Dark Souls 4, I'll be watching their next game very closely.

It's a pretty good game that's mostly let down by the bosses who a mostly below average. Everything else about it is quite good though.

Both metrics don't make for good enough data.

But ONE metric speaking directly to what funds the studio's next game. That much is a fact! A direct purchase of a game is infinitely better than someone "playing" a game on a subscription service.

I know I know, I was beating the 'SteamDB data' guy to the punch with my joke, because that person would respond to your post with steam current playercount (not knowing the data is just as pointless), because that has happened in other threads before.

There, the joke is fully explained.

If you're a dev and get paid money to put your game on a subscription service, you can't put those funds towards your next game?
